In Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival, Aidan and Sunny's story has two endings, but neither one lets you return the girl to a normal life. In the finale, Aidan chooses whether to remain human or follow the Cenobites, while Sunny's fate has already been determined by her own decision. This guide explains how to reach the final choice, unlock both endings, and get the related achievements without replaying the entire horror game.

How many endings are there in Hellraiser: Revival?

The release version has two confirmed endings. You do not need to find special items, perform a secret ritual, or finish the game with a specific number of kills to unlock them. The entire choice happens at the very end of the story after the Ritual of Rebirth, and Aidan's fate depends on whether he follows the Cenobites.
  • Remain human - do not enter the opening in the wall and wait until it closes. You will unlock the Human After All achievement.
  • Become a Cenobite - go through the opening in the wall after the Cenobites before it disappears. This unlocks the Experience Beyond Limits achievement.
Note that this is not a choice between saving Sunny and letting her die. Both options become available after the same story event and mainly change Aidan's fate. If you have seen guides describing four endings, a corruption meter, or a secret Leviathan ending, do not rush to search for hidden requirements. Full playthroughs of the finished game do not confirm those branches.

Can you save Sunny?

No, you cannot get a happy reunion between Aidan and Sunny in Hellraiser: Revival. For much of the story, Aidan tries to free her from the Labyrinth and bring her back to life. He eventually does complete the resurrection process. But bringing someone back to life is not the same as saving them from a deal with the Cenobites, and the ending makes that distinction clear. After the ritual is complete, it turns out that Sunny was never simply a helpless prisoner who only needed to be rescued from the nightmare. She admits that she made her own deal and used Aidan to perform the Ritual of Rebirth for the Ascended. She then accepts the Cenobites' offer and leaves with them. Her decision has already been made before the player regains control for the final choice. That is why both endings leave a bitter aftertaste. You can reject the invitation and preserve Aidan's human life, or follow Sunny in the hope of never being separated again. The game does not show a happy reunion in either case. The final question is really different: what is Aidan willing to do with his own life after the betrayal?

How to reach the final choice

The final choice appears as part of the story, so you do not need to prepare for it from the opening hours. Aidan must free Sunny's soul, travel through the Labyrinth, and obtain the hearts of Charlotte, the Sister of Mercy, and Marlowe for the ritual. Once you obtain Marlowe's final heart, return to the apartment through the Labyrinth entrance and give it to Sunny. The final part of the story begins after the following events.Next, run through the collapsing section of the Labyrinth, avoiding gaps and using movable blocks until you reach the red gate. Complete the Ritual of Rebirth and wait until you return to the apartment. Here, you will speak with Sunny and receive the Cenobites' final offer, after which an opening appears in the wall. Do not mistake this moment for a normal chase. The game is waiting for your decision. If you are stuck on an earlier puzzle, use our guide to every safe, locker, and door code. Before the final fights, we also recommend checking whether you missed any weapons that can be found or purchased during the game. These items can make the final sections easier, but they do not affect the ending.

Ending 1: Remain human

This is the more favorable ending for Aidan, although it is difficult to call it happy in the usual sense. To get it, do nothing after the final dialogue ends. Stay in the apartment near Zora and simply wait until the opening in the wall closes. You do not need to follow the Cenobites, and the game does not require a separate button to reject their offer.Once the opening disappears, Aidan remains in the human world. In the final scene, he reflects on what happened and talks about the need to begin a new life while trying not to repeat his old mistakes. The sunrise emphasizes that he still has a future. Sunny does not return, however. Preserving his humanity also means accepting that their old relationship is over. This ending unlocks the Human After All achievement. We recommend watching this ending first, not because it has officially been declared canon, but because it makes it easier to see Aidan's attempt to escape the nightmare before comparing it with the alternative.

Ending 2: Become a Cenobite

For the second ending, do the opposite. As soon as the dialogue ends and the Cenobites move toward the opening, follow them through the hole in the wall. Do not wait too long because the opening gradually closes. Reaching it means accepting the offer and starting the alternate final scene. This choice is far darker than it may initially seem. Aidan gives himself to the Cenobites, and his transformation begins with brutal physical changes. He later finds himself among chains and torture, while memories of happier moments with Sunny return before his final transformation. The love story that drove him through the Labyrinth becomes one of his last human memories. But the game never promises the reunion that might justify willingly giving up his own body. Sunny has already made her choice, and Aidan receives not a return to his old life, but a new existence in the Cenobites' world. Accepting the offer unlocks the Experience Beyond Limits achievement. The developers do not explain the couple's future in detail, so there is no basis for claiming that they remain happily together.

How to get both endings in one playthrough

The good news for achievement hunters is that you do not need to restart the story. After watching the first ending, the game lets you return to the final choice by loading the final autosave. That makes it possible to get both outcomes within a few minutes without replaying the Labyrinth or fighting the bosses again.
  1. Finish the story and reach the apartment where the opening behind the Cenobites appears.
  2. For the first ending, stay in place until the wall closes and watch the final scene.
  3. Return to the main menu and select Continue to load the final autosave.
  4. Go through the final dialogue again. This time, follow the Cenobites through the opening before it closes.
  5. Watch the second ending and confirm that the achievement for accepting the offer unlocks.
You can also start with the Cenobite ending, then reload and remain human. The order does not affect availability. It is also useful to make a manual save before the final scene if the game allows it. Even without one, full playthroughs confirm that the final autosave returns you to the ending choice. The important thing is not to start a new campaign instead of selecting Continue.

Is there a secret or true ending?

As of release, there is no confirmed third, hidden, or "true" ending. Online descriptions sometimes mention four endings, special stones, secret sacrifices, or an ending determined by a corruption meter. Those instructions contradict full playthroughs of the game and the published achievement list. Both available endings are triggered directly in the apartment after the Ritual of Rebirth. For the same reason, there is no need to replay entire sections hoping to "properly" save Sunny. The story allows her to be brought back to life, but it does not let the player undo her deal or force her to reject the Cenobites. If you want the brighter outcome, choose to preserve Aidan's humanity. It is not a victory over everything in the Labyrinth, but at least one human life continues afterward.
