Sapkowski first spoke about another Witcher book in March 2026 at the Brussels Book Fair. At the time, he did not reveal any details but confirmed that another novel was planned. At the Copernicon festival in Toruń in September 2026, the writer offered a more specific update: "Theoretically, I should finish the new Witcher book by the end of next year, but of course, everything can change."Sapkowski is clearly sticking with his favorite protagonist, as Geralt of Rivia will once again be at the center of the story. He has not said which period of the witcher's life the new book will cover. The writer also made it clear that he has no plans for spin-offs centered on Yennefer or other characters from the saga, saying he sees no point in taking that approach. Some outlets, including us, suspect the novel could continue the story of Crossroads of Ravens, which follows a young Geralt gradually finding his place on the Path. For now, however, that remains speculation. Sapkowski has not confirmed the book's setting or place in the timeline. If the manuscript is completed near the end of 2027, a Polish release sometime in 2028 looks plausible, while an international edition could follow later, potentially in 2029. No official publication dates have been announced yet.
