In Silver Pines, weapons do more than decide fights. A simple Box Cutter can slice through a barrier, a shotgun can blast apart a boarded passage, and a Sledgehammer can break through a wall hiding an entire part of town. Missing one item can therefore mean more than struggling against a difficult enemy. It can also waste time while you search for the correct route. This guide explains where to find every handgun, rifle, shotgun, melee weapon, and tool, along with seven upgrades that make survival considerably easier.Do not discard weapons and tools just because they stop being effective in combat. This is especially important for the Box Cutter, Crowbar, and Sledgehammer. They are still needed to open routes and caches several hours after you first find them.

Which weapons should you get first?
Do not try to collect everything immediately. Silver Pines gradually opens up as you obtain new keys and tools. Early on, the Snub .38 Revolver from the motel room and the W-500 Shotgun from the Gift Shop are especially useful. After taking the ferry into Downtown, stop by the cinema for the Nailgun, then head to the Sheriff's Office for the Model 7 Rifle and Crowbar. Later, make sure to pick up the Sledgehammer in Church Hill because many cracked walls remain inaccessible without it.Quick route for the key pickups:- Outskirts: Box Cutter near Rodney's General Store.
- Crimson Bear Motel: Snub .38 Revolver in the Grizzly Suite, W-500 Shotgun in the Gift Shop weapon locker.
- Downtown: Baseball Bat, Double Barrel Shotgun, Nailgun, and The North Star.
- Riverside and Sheriff's Office: Flashlight, Crowbar, Model 7 Rifle, and Blade.
- Union Apartments: 1911 Service Pistol.
- Church Hill: Sledgehammer, S-1 Carbine, and Swedish K SMG.
- Sewers: .44 Magnum.
- Late-game areas: Shovel, Wire Cutter, and weapon upgrades. Additional items become available for new playthroughs after the endings.
Where to find every firearm in Silver Pines
Snub .38 Revolver: Grizzly Suite at the motel
The first serious firearm is waiting in the Grizzly Suite at the Crimson Bear Motel. Reach the pool and changing rooms, take the Grizzly Suite Keycard, then return to the suite door. Inside you will find the Snub .38 Revolver and ammunition. Take everything immediately because it may be a while before you find another reliable supply of rounds. The revolver uses .38 ammunition. It is useful against more than enemies. You can shoot certain padlocks and open some ventilation grates with it. Later, the revolver can be upgraded with the Six-Shot Cylinder and Double Action Mechanism, both covered below.W-500 Shotgun: Gift Shop weapon locker
One of the most important early-game items is hidden in the motel Gift Shop. Go upstairs and find the locked weapon locker. The combination is 6671, although you can obtain the clue normally by calling 58883 from a motel payphone and speaking to the woman in Room 3. Enter the code and take the W-500 Shotgun along with the nearby 12-gauge ammunition. The W-500 is a pump-action shotgun. It is particularly useful in tight corridors where enemies can close the distance quickly. A W-500 shot can also destroy wooden barricades. Do not waste ammunition on every obstacle you see. Metal and stone barriers cannot be opened this way.Double Barrel Shotgun: Sport Smart and Ammo Zone
In Downtown on Market Street, find the Sport Smart sporting goods store. Open the rear entrance using the card-suit sequence Spade - Heart - Club - Diamond. Go inside and turn on the lights. On the first floor you will see the barred entrance to the Ammo Zone section, but head upstairs first. On the second floor, inspect the sports jersey. The player number is 23 and the class year is 67, giving you the code 2367. Return to the cage on the first floor and enter it. Deal with the two enemies inside, break the weapon display, and take the Double Barrel Shotgun. It hits hard, but the limited capacity means you need to pay close attention to reload timing.Nailgun: Cinema projector room
At the Downtown Movie Theater, find the vending machine in the lobby. It sells the Projector Room Key for $20. Buy it, open the door to the right of the counter, and go upstairs to the projector room. The Nailgun and its ammunition are inside. The Nailgun uses nails rather than conventional ammunition. Do not ignore boxes of nails because they can be found in other parts of town as well. This weapon is easy to miss because the projector-room door is not required for main story progression. The North Star: Quiet Hour Cafe
Enter The Quiet Hour in Downtown and talk to the cowboy sitting inside. During the first meeting, you can receive 12-gauge ammunition. After completing the cemetery sequence, return to the cafe. The North Star and boxes of ammunition will be waiting on his table. The North Star is a lever-action shotgun. It uses the same 12-gauge ammunition as the W-500, so carrying every shotgun at once is rarely useful unless you have a large supply of shells. Pick the one you prefer and leave the others in storage.Model 7 Rifle: Sheriff's Office armory
At the Sheriff's Office, go down to the basement holding cells. The Armory Key is on the bed in Cell B. Use it on the armory gate and take the Model 7 Rifle. Additional ammunition is stored nearby in a locker. The Model 7 uses .223 ammunition and is well suited to accurate shots from a distance. Later, you can attach the Rifle Scope. Keep the rifle for enemies that are dangerous to approach, and switch to a revolver or shotgun in cramped rooms.1911 Service Pistol: Union Apartments
In Union Apartments, search the supervisor's apartment 1A. There is a locked box tied to newspaper clippings about the residents. Match the stories with the apartments in this order: artist - 1C, cat owner - 3A, writer - 2A, suspicious tenant - 3C. Enter 1C - 3A - 2A - 3C to open it.Inside is the 1911 Service Pistol. It uses .38 ammunition and reloads with a magazine. Later, you can find the Extended Magazine and Attachable Laser Sight, making the pistol especially useful for players who prefer a single versatile sidearm.S-1 Carbine: Fishing shack in Church Hill
At the Church Hill Docks, find the fishing shack. There is a locked crate inside. Enter 4514 and take the S-1 Carbine. It uses .223 ammunition like the Model 7, but fires faster. If you carry both weapons, remember that they share the same ammo pool.Swedish K SMG: Funeral Home attic
At the Church Hill Funeral Home, you need the Sledgehammer. Find the cracked wall and break through it, then pick up the Attic Key. Return to the stairs, go up one floor, and unlock the attic door. The Swedish K SMG and ammunition are in the room with the military memorabilia beside the bed.The weapon uses 9mm ammunition and empties its magazine quickly. Save it for especially dangerous fights. More 9mm can be found around town and purchased from appropriate vending machines..44 Magnum: Sewer encounter
Later, after opening the sluice system in the sewers beneath Market Street, configure the flow controls and pressure wheels to pass through the main gate. The Sheriff stops you there. Follow the on-screen prompts, break free, and finish the encounter. Afterward, take his .44 Magnum. This heavy handgun uses its own .44 ammunition, so Snub .38 rounds will not work with it.Omega Rifle: Reward for the Live ending
The Omega Rifle cannot be found in a normal container during your first playthrough. To unlock it for a new game, collect all 25 Mementos, spare Eddie, and complete the Live ending by destroying the collection. On your next playthrough, the experimental rifle becomes available together with Magnetic Slugs.Where to find every melee weapon
Box Cutter: Rodney's General Store
Near the beginning of the game, visit Rodney's General Store in the Outskirts. After the freezer section, you can pick up the Box Cutter outside the store. It has poor reach and durability, so it is not ideal for long fights. Its main value is that it cuts cloth barriers and tarps, including the obstruction in the underpass on the way to the motel.Baseball Bat: Sport Smart rear courtyard
Behind the sporting goods store on Market Street, find the door with the card-suit lock. The clue is visible through the front window: Spade, Heart, Club, Diamond. Enter the symbols in that order, open the route, and take the Baseball Bat from the rear courtyard. It is a more practical general-purpose melee weapon than the starting knife.Crowbar: Sheriff's Office evidence lockup
The Crowbar is one of the most important exploration tools in town. At the Sheriff's Office, open the safe hidden behind the painting. The numbers are 15-7-3-10, and you need to alternate the dial direction. Take the Evidence Lockup Key from the safe, use it on the lockup by the courtyard, and collect the Crowbar.Keep a weapon ready while leaving because a dangerous encounter with dogs can begin after you obtain the tool. The Crowbar can break wooden objects and certain barriers without spending ammunition. Check the map and revisit boarded routes you marked earlier.Sledgehammer: Upper street near the cemetery
Climb through Church Hill toward the cemetery. The Sledgehammer is lying on the upper street. Pick it up before exploring the nearby houses because it opens routes through cracked walls. With it, you can return to the Funeral Home for the Swedish K and to Riverside for the Blade. The Sledgehammer also works as a melee weapon, but its heavy swing needs space. Do not start an attack when an enemy is already right in front of you. It is safer to bait an attack, step away, and punish the miss.Blade: Secret room near the Riverside entrance
Return to the Welcome to Riverside sign. Find the cracked wall to the right and break it with the Sledgehammer. Continue through the hidden section to a room covered in red graffiti. Inside is an old paper cutter. Interact with it and take the Blade. It is sharp but fairly fragile, so watch its durability.Shovel: Digging man's caravan in Downtown
After getting the cable car running and traveling to Mt. Siah Kopa, return to Downtown and the digging man's pit. You can now enter his caravan and take the Shovel beside the bed. It is used to dig up buried items, including the Gold Star by the pit, the key on the church grounds, and the corsage at the cemetery. You can fight with it too, but its main purpose is uncovering hidden items.Switchblade: Reward for the Leave ending
To unlock the Switchblade, finish the story with the Leave ending by choosing to kill Eddie Velvet. The knife then becomes available in a new game. It is designed for quick close-range attacks, but it does not replace the Crowbar or Sledgehammer when exploring blocked routes.Where to find throwable weapons
Bottles
Empty Bottles are scattered throughout the town. You can throw them at enemies as basic improvised weapons or use them to craft more useful items. Do not fill your entire inventory with them. Carry one or two if you plan to make incendiaries and leave the rest until your next trip to storage.Molotov Cocktails
To craft a Molotov Cocktail, combine a Bottle and Gasoline in the inventory. The result is a throwable incendiary weapon. Save it for encounters where enemies can be kept within a small area instead of using it against every isolated target.Pipe Bomb
A Pipe Bomb is hidden behind a locked mechanism in the Ammo Zone stairwell. First obtain the Crank Handle in Church Hill, then return to Sport Smart and use it on the crank box near the stairs. Take the explosive from the newly opened route. Another Pipe Bomb can be found in the mountain area near the fuse box.All tools: Where to find them and which routes they open
Pool Net: Grizzly Suite
The Pool Net is in the Grizzly Suite together with several other items. Return to the pool and use it on the drain grate. This retrieves a Grime Covered Object that becomes the story-related door handle after cleaning. The handle is used on the palm-tree door beneath the Gift Shop.Flashlight: Behind Wing Oil
In Riverside, pass through the workshop and junkyard, take the Gate Key, and open the rear route. Follow the riverbank toward Wing Oil, restore power, and search the area behind the office. The Flashlight is there. It lets you explore extremely dark spaces, including parts of the cinema and underground passages.Fireplace Tongs: Town Hall
Inside Town Hall, find the room with the fireplace and take the Fireplace Tongs. They are required to retrieve the mask mold from the fire. Do not treat them as a weapon. They are a puzzle tool used on a specific object.Manhole Cover Key: Third floor of Town Hall
Get the Town Hall Office Key and open the service office on the third floor. The Manhole Cover Key is above the filing cabinet. Use it to return to previously inaccessible manholes around town, including the Crimson Bear courtyard, Apartment Street, the cable car station, the Pet Clinic, Loomis Park, and other locations. Some manholes contain weapon parts and upgrades.Crank Handle: Ruined house in Church Hill
On the first street in Church Hill, go all the way left and vault the ledge. Search the ruined houses beyond it. One building has a cracked wall. Break it with the Sledgehammer and take the Crank Handle. It is used on the cemetery well, the sluice gate, the Pet Clinic storage mechanism, the Town Hall clock, and the crank boxes in Ammo Zone and the Riverside warehouse.Wire Cutter: Nightmare behind the red door
During the late-game sequence behind the red door, reach the room farthest to the right, then climb the stairs near the Eddie Velvet posters. The Wire Cutter is there. On the way back, find the electrical box and cut the two cables. This opens the route to the third metal spike. All seven weapon upgrades
Six-Shot Cylinder for the Snub .38
Take the locked Weapon Utility Case from the Sheriff's Office armory. Then search the morgue. Shoot the ceiling vent, crawl through to Cell A, and pick up the Metal Handle. Attach it to the cold-storage door, inspect the clothing inside, and take the Weapon Case Key. Combine the key with the case in your inventory to receive the Six-Shot Cylinder. Once installed, the revolver holds six rounds.Double Action Mechanism for the Snub .38
In Downtown, climb over the fence to the right of the cable car building and take the Quiet Hour Key. Return to the cafe and open the locked box in the rear room. Inside is the Double Action Mechanism, which increases the Snub .38's firing speed.Extended Magazine for the 1911
The Extended Magazine can be found in the underground passage beneath the manhole in the flooded basement at Thelend Broadcasting. You need the Manhole Cover Key from Town Hall. Another copy can be found in the sewer beneath the Crimson Bear courtyard. Installing it increases the 1911's capacity from seven rounds to ten.Attachable Laser Sight for the 1911
Return to Sport Smart / Ammo Zone with the Crank Handle. Open the mechanism in the stairwell and take the Attachable Laser Sight. Install it on the 1911 Service Pistol to gain a laser dot while aiming.Extended Magazine Tube for the W-500
Find the Bowling Car Key near the flooded basement area by Union Apartments. Go to Silver Road and find the car near the bowling alley and liquor store. Open the trunk and take the Extended Magazine Tube. Once installed, the W-500 holds eight shells instead of four.Rifle Scope for the Model 7
At the cable car station, search the purse lying there. The Rifle Scope is inside. Install it on the Model 7 Rifle for long-range shooting. You do not need to carry the scope separately after installing it.Compact Weapon Kit
The first Compact Weapon Kit is in the basement of the Downtown liquor store. The second is at Thelend Broadcasting in the prop-storage area under the stairs near the service route. The kit shortens certain long guns, including the Model 7 and Double Barrel Shotgun, so they occupy three inventory slots instead of five. This is one of the most useful upgrades for players who constantly need to return to storage because of inventory space. How to repair weapons and conserve ammunition
Melee weapons gradually lose durability. If you let a knife, bat, or other item fully break, its damage drops significantly. Use Duct Tape or a Repair Kit to restore durability. Duct Tape repairs a small amount, while a Repair Kit restores it fully. You can find complete Repair Kits on the lower floor of the motel Gift Shop, in the Riverside sewer tunnel, and on the third floor of Union Apartments.Combine Spare Parts with Duct Tape to craft a Makeshift Repair Kit. It restores more durability than Duct Tape alone. Do not waste a full Repair Kit on a weapon you are about to replace. Save it for the Crowbar or another useful tool you plan to keep. The ammunition rule is simple: do not carry several guns that share the same ammo type without a reason. The W-500, Double Barrel, and The North Star all use 12-gauge ammunition. The Model 7 and S-1 share .223 rounds. The Snub .38 and 1911 both use .38 ammunition. You can unload ammunition from one weapon and move it to another, so do not leave useful rounds sitting inside a backup weapon when you change your primary gun. What unlocks after finishing the game?
The three endings unlock different items for a new playthrough. It is convenient to save at the phone before speaking to Eddie Velvet, allowing you to return to the branch and collect multiple ending rewards without replaying the entire finale from the beginning. The Live ending requires all 25 Mementos and the related action after sparing Eddie. Rest requires both Gold Rings and the additional final sequence in the Rabbit Hole. These rewards are not lying somewhere in town during your first playthrough. Look for them among the unlocked items when starting a new run. What to do if you cannot find a weapon or tool
- The W-500 locker will not open. Return to the motel payphone, dial 58883, and obtain the 6671 code. Do not confuse this with the motel gate, whose combination comes from the Guest Registry and can vary by save.
- The Ammo Zone cage will not open. Find the jersey upstairs in Sport Smart showing 23 and class year 67, then enter 2367 downstairs. You must first open the rear entrance using the card-suit symbols.
- You cannot find the Swedish K. Get the Sledgehammer on the upper Church Hill street first, then break the wall in the Funeral Home and take the Attic Key.
- A locked mechanism will not work. Check whether it needs the Crowbar, Sledgehammer, or Crank Handle. These are three different tools and one does not replace another.
- You cannot pick up a new firearm. Free up inventory space or use available storage. Large weapons occupy several slots, and the Compact Weapon Kit reduces their size only after installation.
- A pistol or shotgun will not fire after you pick it up. Make sure you loaded the correct ammunition and completed the manual reload. Do not confuse .38 with .44, or nails with conventional rounds.
