The Grappling Hook is one of the most useful tools in Valheim 1.0. It lets you pull yourself toward walls, trees, and other surfaces, making it useful both for fast traversal and emergency escapes from enemies. The tool becomes especially valuable in the Deep North. The main component has to be found in the Mistlands. The Hook cannot be crafted or purchased from a trader, so you need to explore the region before you can unlock the recipe. The item can appear among Mistlands loot, including in Infested Mines. It can also be found in some local structures.
