You meet the Bishop fairly late in Graveyard Keeper 2, after reaching the Royal Foundry. He explains what happened to the magic portal, helps you begin searching for its scattered parts, and gives you the first fragment. The Bishop's own character questline is very short and effectively consists of a single quest: Magic Mirror.
Magic Mirror
The quest becomes available after two conditions are met. First, you need to talk to Gunter about the missing magic portal during Any Portal in a Storm, and then reach the Royal Foundry. The order does not matter: Magic Mirror starts once both requirements have been completed. If the route to the monks is still blocked, continue completing Herbert's quests until you finish Steamy Royal and win Break Through to the Bathhouse Basement. After meeting the Bishop, ask him about the magic portal. He will explain that the portal once ended up in the palace, where people began abusing it. A group of conspirators eventually activated the device one final time, stole it from the palace, and split it into seven fragments. The Bishop kept the Magic Mirror, which can reveal the locations of the remaining pieces.Use the Magic Mirror during the conversation. It will point to Gunter, starting the next quest, The Hungry Cosmos. You do not need to return to the Astrologer immediately, however. The Bishop also has one of the portal fragments, but he will not give it to you for free. We cover Gunter's continuing storyline in our walkthrough of all Gunter's quests. How to Make 3 Zombie Power
The Bishop needs a compact source of labor for the monks, so he asks you to bring 3 Zombie Power. These items are produced in the Bioreactor at your Factory. Each cycle consumes 5 Wheat and produces 1 Zombie Power, so you need 15 Wheat in total. The recipe requires the Bioreactor Technology and Farming Mastery 1. If your Factory is still underdeveloped or the required machine is missing, restore the facility and set up the production line first. We explain this system in more detail in our Graveyard Keeper 2 guide to the Factory, conveyors, and zombie workers.Produce 3 Zombie Power and return to the Royal Foundry. Give them to the Bishop through the corresponding dialogue option. All three items will be consumed, and you will receive the Portal fragment Sloth.Where to Insert the Sloth Fragment
Take the Portal fragment Sloth to Gunter's tower. Interact with the portal frame and install the fragment. It will disappear from your inventory, and you will receive 1 Story I.This is only the first of the portal's seven fragments. The next piece is held by Gunter himself, while the rest of the search gradually leads you to other characters and areas of the town. We have compiled all seven fragments, their unlock requirements, and the order in which they become available in our guide to all portal fragments in Graveyard Keeper 2.How to Buy Steel Ingots from the Bishop
Although this is not a separate Bishop quest, you will need his help to continue Jack's questline once the Royal Foundry becomes accessible. During Man of Steel, ask the Bishop about high-quality steel to unlock the option to buy Steel Ingots. Each ingot costs 1 silver. You can buy them in batches of 1, 10, 50, or 100, and larger purchases do not provide a discount.Jack's Man of Steel quest requires 3 Steel Ingots. Buy them from the Bishop and take them back to Jack at the Town Workshop. The following Factory-related stage and reputation requirements are covered in detail in our walkthrough of all Jack's quests.Sign in to leave a comment or rate this post.
