Donkey in Graveyard Keeper 2 is still responsible for delivering corpses to the morgue, but this system will stop several times during the story because of his conversations and his conflict with Agatha. Later, Donkey is also the one who puts you on the trail of the Necronomicon, which you need to create zombies yourself. In this guide, we'll cover his entire questline and explain what to do if new corpses suddenly stop appearing.

Why Donkey Stopped Delivering Corpses
The first important conversation takes place after you meet Agatha. The next time you visit the morgue during a delivery, Donkey may stop nearby and, instead of going about his usual business, start complaining about the Nun. She threatened him and stopped him from peacefully going about his business, and she also managed to scare Larry. Make sure you finish the entire conversation and wait until Donkey leaves. If the scene is left unfinished, new deliveries may not start. This conversation alone does not trigger the full strike. The second requirement involves Wispy. First, you need to complete the Chasing Fairy Lights quest and summon the fairy. Once both conditions have been met, Donkey will refuse to deliver any more corpses on his next delivery attempt until you deal with Agatha. Corpses do not disappear completely during this part of the story. The Nun may leave them instead, but normal morgue deliveries will only resume after the conflict is resolved. What to Do if a New Corpse Doesn't Appear
First, go to the morgue and make sure Donkey is not waiting there for another conversation. Sleeping does not complete an unfinished scene. Until you personally speak to him and he leaves, corpse deliveries may remain paused. These conversations are not limited to the conflict with Agatha, so if corpses suddenly stop appearing later in the game, check the morgue first.Another possible reason is a lack of available space. The game tracks morgue capacity and the number of unprocessed corpses, not simply empty floor space or room in a regular chest. At the beginning, only the space on the Autopsy Table effectively counts, while every Corpse Pallet you build increases the morgue's capacity by one. To free a slot, you need to bury, burn, or otherwise properly dispose of a corpse. Simply removing organs does not free up capacity.Even with free space in the morgue, Donkey does not have to arrive after every sleep cycle. Deliveries follow their own schedule and an additional delivery check, so once all other issues have been resolved, simply continue with other activities and wait for the next delivery attempt. How to Get Blood for the Magic Bell
The delivery issue becomes especially noticeable during Herbert's quests, since crafting the Magic bell requires 1 Blood. Once a new corpse finally arrives, place it on the Autopsy Table and check the available removable parts. Blood is not found on every corpse, so you may need to wait for more than one delivery before you get a suitable body. There is no need to exhume the first story-related corpse in the hope of finding the ingredient. It is not intended for this stage of the quest. If you already have Blood in storage, you can immediately return to crafting the Magic bell. You do not need to complete the rest of Donkey's questline to obtain this item. The Nun with the Hairy Ass
Once Donkey begins his full strike, head to Agatha at the Crossroads and talk to her about corpse deliveries. The required dialogue option needs 10 reputation with the Nun, which you can earn through her early quests. We cover this entire part of the story in our walkthrough of all Agatha's quests, but to continue Donkey's questline, you need to meet two of her requirements.First, raise the graveyard quality to 20 and tell Agatha about it. Then go down through the hatch at the Crossroads to the underground well and repair it using 2 Polished Bronze and 4 Polished Stone. The repair itself requires Building mastery 3. Once both conditions have been met, talk to Agatha about corpse deliveries again. She will finally allow Donkey to return to work. After this, on a certain day you can also choose the desired number of future corpses when speaking to Agatha. This setting affects the frequency of deliveries, so if you are actively working on the graveyard or performing autopsies, avoid selecting the option that disables deliveries. The Ingenious Gentleman Don Keyote
After resolving the conflict, return to the morgue. As you approach, a conversation with Donkey will begin automatically. Tell him that he can start delivering corpses again, and make sure you watch the scene until he leaves. Corpse deliveries are considered restored only after the entire scene has finished, not after the first line of dialogue. This does not mean a fresh corpse will immediately appear on the table. Once the strike is over, the normal delivery schedule, delivery check, and morgue capacity rules apply again, so a short delay is perfectly normal.During the same conversation, you will learn something far more interesting. Donkey knows about the Necronomicon, but he does not have the book himself. You need to look for it with Gunter. Head to the Astrologer's Tower and continue Gunter's questline. How to Get the Necronomicon
Your first conversation with Gunter about the Necronomicon requires 20 reputation with him. The reputation requirement is only checked and no points are spent. If you returned his tarot cards and completed the related early quests, you will usually already have enough reputation.Gunter admits that the book really is somewhere among his old belongings, but he will not look for it right away. This unlocks a second dialogue option about the Necronomicon, which requires 30 reputation. You can earn the missing reputation by continuing his questline, including by giving him the Poetry Book.Once you reach 30 reputation, ask Gunter about the book again. This time, he finally finds the Necronomicon and gives it to you. You will also receive another 10 reputation with Gunter, a Story, the Forbidden Knowledge achievement, and the Reanimation Liquid technology will appear in the technology tree. What to Do with the Necronomicon Next
After obtaining the Necronomicon, wait for Donkey's next corpse delivery attempt. Once again, he will stop near the morgue without a corpse and wait for you to speak to him. Approach him, discuss the book, and let the scene play out to the end. Until Donkey leaves, regular corpse deliveries will once again remain paused. This concludes his part of the Necronomicon quest, but the resurrection mechanic has one more requirement. During the Sweet Dreams quest in Albert's questline, you need to unlock the hidden room next to the morgue. Once you have access to it and the required technology, the full worker creation system becomes available. From there, use our guide to creating, upgrading, and using zombies in Graveyard Keeper 2.Why Donkey Is Waiting Near the Morgue Again
Even after completing the main questline, Donkey may arrive several more times without a corpse simply because he wants to have a story-related conversation. These scenes occur after the strike ends, after you obtain the Necronomicon, when Town quality reaches 50, and later after the election, when the value reaches 100. Until you speak to him, further corpse deliveries may once again stop. The rule here is simple. If there is free space in the morgue, the strike is over, but no corpses have appeared for a long time, go to the gates and check whether Donkey is there. In most story-related cases, all you need to do is finish his new conversation and wait for him to leave. After that, corpse deliveries return to normal.Sign in to leave a comment or rate this post.
