Davy the Dagger is the leader of the looters, whom you will meet after clearing the road to the Port. His questline begins with a fairly simple request from Herbert, but gradually develops into battles in the sewers, the search for the Old God, and preparations for the final assault on the palace. In this guide, we'll cover all of Davy's quests, their unlock requirements, and the items you will need along the way.

Wharf Rats
This quest becomes available after Herbert's Sad Captain, No Action quest. Head to the Dockside Club and speak to the mysterious man who has appeared inside. Simply meeting Davy earlier is not enough. The required conversation will not begin until Herbert asks you to recover the book he left behind in the infected part of Town. The previous stage is covered in more detail in our Herbert quest walkthrough.Davy introduces himself as the leader of the looters and agrees to retrieve the Love Novel, but he will not work for free. At the same time, a separate quest called Battles in the Sewers becomes available, where you can earn the currency he wants. How to Get the Love Novel
Davy asks for 1 Key for Looters. The easiest way to get one is to win the first sewer fight, which immediately rewards you with three keys. Alternatively, you can buy a Key for Looters from a tier 2 or tier 3 Jeweler if the corresponding shop inventory has already been unlocked.Once you have a key, return to the Dockside Club and choose the dialogue option about the novel. Davy takes 1 Key for Looters and gives you the Love Novel along with a Story. This also unlocks his looter order system. Take the book to Herbert in the Barracks as part of the Herbert and? quest.Battles in the Sewers
This quest begins at the same time as Wharf Rats. Head to the outpost in the sewers and speak with the guards near the battle camp. The rules here are slightly different from Herbert's battles above ground. Barricades and towers cannot be used underground, so all the required defense power must come from your squads. How to Win Sewer Brawl I
The first battle requires 8 defense power and allows one squad. The starting group of hired mercenaries provides exactly eight points without any upgrades, so you usually do not need any additional preparation for this operation. If the mercenaries are no longer active after a previous victory, hire them again at the Barracks before returning to the battle camp.Winning rewards you with 3 Keys for Looters, 4 Zombie goo, and 3 Town Gratitude. One key is already enough to get the Love Novel from Davy, so you can return to the club and finish Wharf Rats first if you want, then continue clearing the sewers afterward. How to Win Sewer Brawl II
The second battle starts from the same battle camp, but the requirements are considerably higher. You need 24 defense power and can deploy two squads. Barricades and towers are still unavailable. A fully upgraded mercenary squad provides all 24 points by itself, but if you have not upgraded it to the maximum yet, you will need to combine the available squads across both slots. The reward is once again 3 Keys for Looters, 4 Zombie goo, and 3 Town Gratitude. The game also counts the sewers as cleared for the overall campaign in southern Town and unlocks a new conversation with Davy. The southern district only becomes completely safe after completing all three branches: Hope It Doesn't go South, Street Battles, and Sewer Brawl II. It does not matter which branch you finish last. Completing the third one automatically starts Fight for the Town. All the other operations in this campaign are covered in detail in our Herbert quest walkthrough. After clearing the area, return to Davy and ask him about getting more keys. He will tell you about the Sewerena, an optional series of arena fights in the sewers where you can earn additional Keys for Looters. You do not need to complete the entire arena to progress the main story.Finding Old God
Davy's next major quest appears much later, after the Goddess accepts Jully's ritual. If you have not reached this point yet, continue Jully's questline and progress through the Swamp. Once the ritual is complete, head to the Dockside Club, then step back outside. Linda will tell you that Davy is waiting near the Town sewer entrance by the west gate.Go to the marked location and watch the scene with Davy, Albert, and the looters. From the cheese they found, they figure out that the trail leads to Mauritzio's old factory, and its basement may well be the Old God's hideout. After the conversation, you receive 2 Cheese, while Albert's worsening cough simultaneously unlocks a separate Plague Doctor quest.Davy sends his men into the sewers. Enter through the Town sewer entrance and find the looters below. If the required route is still inaccessible, complete Sewer Brawl II from the previous section first.During the conversation, you learn that Davy's men have found the spot where Mauritzio's cellar used to be, but there is no normal entrance. Progress stops here for now. Continuing this storyline requires restoring the portal and completing High Price. Once you install the required fragment and meet the other conditions, Friend or Foe will begin, so continue with the Old God quest walkthrough from there.Palace Politics
Davy's final quest becomes available near the end of the game. First, you need to install the Wrath portal fragment during Even More Portal Parts. If you have not collected all the required fragments yet, use our guide to finding every portal fragment in Graveyard Keeper 2.After installing Wrath, head to the Dockside Club and ask Davy about the palace. He knows a secret way inside, but charges 50 silver coins for the information. Bring him the money and pay for the job. Davy will begin gathering intel, and all you need to do is wait for the result.Return home, then leave again through the front door. Davy will appear outside and give you all the information you need about the route through the sewers, the square near the palace, and the hidden entrance inside. This conversation is required to continue preparing for the final assault regardless of which Old God route you chose. Once it is complete, you can move on to The Last Battle and the ending of Graveyard Keeper 2.Sign in to leave a comment or rate this post.
