The Talos Principle 3 Shows Its First Gameplay

Croteam and Devolver Digital have shown the first gameplay footage from The Talos Principle 3, the third and final chapter of the philosophical puzzle series. The game was originally announced in May, while the new gameplay reveal debuted during The Triple-i Initiative on October 8.The gameplay trailer offers the first proper look at the environments and puzzle spaces players will explore. The Talos Principle 3 takes place in the Anomaly, a strange region of crumbling temples and abandoned scientific outposts where the normal laws of physics no longer apply. The story follows an explorer with fragmented memories who travels through this place while gradually uncovering the history of the world humanity built.Croteam describes the game as a cosmic journey across more than a dozen worlds. The puzzles will combine familiar mechanics from the earlier games with entirely new ones, while optional secrets will provide deeper answers about the Anomaly. The environments range from ruined scientific sites to distant worlds such as a desert planet undergoing terraforming and the gardens of Elysium.The Talos Principle 3 is intended as the final chapter of the trilogy. Its story once again focuses on philosophical questions, this time exploring life, death, the Sublime, and the future of humanity. The original writing team of Jonas Kyratzes, Verena Kyratzes, and Tom Jubert is returning, while Damjan Mravunac is composing the soundtrack.The Talos Principle 3 is coming to PC via Steam and PlayStation 5 in 2027. An exact release date has not yet been announced.
