During a Q&A session at Gamergy in Puerto Rico, Nolan North was asked whether he would play Nathan Drake again in a new Uncharted game. His answer was immediate: "100%, absolutely." North added that he believes another entry could become one of the biggest games in the industry if Sony decided to bring the franchise back. The actor also joked that it depends on whether Sony "wants to make money" and said he still tries to stay in shape just in case the call ever comes. For North, the role represents roughly a decade of work with friends and developers he clearly remembers fondly. He also made it clear that he has not heard anything official about a new project.Image unavailableHis comments arrive while rumors about another Uncharted are gaining momentum. Recent reporting claims Naughty Dog may be working on a new entry after Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, with Shaun Escayg, who previously co-directed Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, reportedly leading the project. VGC says it has been able to partially corroborate those reports.Nathan Drake is also rumored to appear in some form, although his exact role is unknown. Some reports and fan speculation have raised the possibility of his daughter Cassie taking a larger role, but that has not been officially confirmed. Escayg fueled speculation earlier in 2026 when he posted a photo of an old cannon with the caption "Research...", although the image itself did not confirm any connection to Uncharted.Neither Naughty Dog nor Sony has announced Uncharted 5. Intergalactic also does not currently have a confirmed release date, so any timeline placing a new Uncharted immediately after it should still be treated as reported information rather than an official schedule.
