The Vince event is now live in Brawl Stars, giving players a chance to unlock the new Brawler without spending money. You'll need Vince Boxes, tickets, and wins in special matches. In this guide, we'll explain how to get all 14 boxes, where to claim your free attempts, and how to work out whether you can finish the event before October 29.
To guarantee that you unlock Vince, you need to open 14 Vince Boxes. He can drop earlier, but if that doesn't happen, keep filling the event progress bar. Tickets let you enter matches, and every two wins earn you one box. Simply playing a certain number of matches isn't enough. You need victories to make progress. The event runs from October 19 to October 29, 2026. Open the Special Events section and find Vince's event card. His event screen shows the boxes counted toward your progress on the left and the time remaining at the top. We recommend checking the timer right away. The event ends on October 29 according to the game's schedule, which won't necessarily be midnight in your time zone.Image unavailable
Where to Get Your First Two Vince Boxes
Start with the in-game Shop. Players received two free Vince Boxes when coffin #10 was opened during the Scary Coffins event. Find the event offer and claim the gift if you haven't already. You didn't have to vote for coffin #10 or guess its contents correctly to receive the community reward. Before opening the gift, visit Vince's event screen and let the tickets and progress counter load. After claiming the boxes, check the counter again. Some players have reported that the two free boxes didn't count toward their progress, and there's no confirmed fix for this issue yet. If it happens to you, take a screenshot of your progress and contact in-game support. If both boxes count, you'll have 12 boxes left to open, which means 24 wins to guarantee Vince. If your counter shows a different number, calculate the remaining wins from that instead.Image unavailable
How to Get Tickets for the Vince Event
You start the event with 12 tickets, then receive two more every 24 hours. The developers explained this in their Vince release announcement. Check the event card to see how many attempts you have left and when the next refill arrives. We recommend logging in every day to check for new tickets so you don't miss any available attempts. Each match uses one ticket. After two wins, claim and open your box, then check your progress toward the goal. The wins don't have to be consecutive. If you lose a match between them, keep playing. You only need to complete your current pair of wins.Don't save every ticket for the final evening. Use your starting attempts first, then come back after each refill. That leaves time to get familiar with the modes, put together a team, and make sure your rewards are being counted correctly. Before your next match, check both your ticket supply and the number of boxes you still need.
How Many Wins Do You Need for 14 Vince Boxes?
Every box that hasn't yet counted toward your progress requires two event wins. If your two free boxes counted, here's the breakdown:
2 of 14 boxes opened: You need 12 more boxes, or 24 wins.
6 of 14 boxes opened: You need eight more boxes, or 16 wins.
10 of 14 boxes opened: You need four more boxes, or eight wins.
If you've already earned one win toward your next box, subtract it from the total. For example, with ten boxes opened and one win already counted, you only need to win seven more matches. Compare that number with your remaining tickets and any refills due before the event ends. If you have fewer attempts than the wins you need, you won't be able to reach the guaranteed unlock without additional free rewards. To figure out how many matches you can afford to lose, subtract the wins you need from the attempts you have available. Say you have ten tickets left and need eight wins to finish. You can lose two matches. That's based on your current supply. New free tickets will give you more attempts if you can claim and use them before the event ends.
How to Avoid Wasting Tickets on Lost Matches
We recommend teaming up with friends you're already comfortable playing with. Check the map and mode before choosing a Brawler, then discuss your team composition. If you're deciding between a familiar character and Vince, whom you haven't learned to play yet, your familiar pick is the safer choice for important attempts. You can try Vince separately in Mirror Matches first.Image unavailableFocus on the objective of each mode. In Gem Grab, don't put your team's gem carrier at risk just to secure another elimination. In Brawl Ball, help your teammates advance the ball. If you lose several matches in a row, take a break and discuss what's going wrong. It's better to use your remaining tickets later, when you're ready to try again.
Can You Unlock Vince Before the 14th Box?
Yes, Vince can appear in any of the earlier boxes. If that happens, you won't need to fill the entire progress counter to unlock him. We wouldn't recommend counting on an early drop, though. Plan your matches around reaching the guarantee. The event's requirement of 14 opened boxes lets you unlock him regardless of your luck with the previous ones.If time is running out, check three things first: how many boxes have counted, how many wins you still need, and how many attempts remain available. To finish without paying, use your starting tickets, daily refills, and gift boxes. You need to complete everything before the event timer runs out on October 29.
