Diablo 4 Free Resplendent Spark: How to Claim the Horadric Post Gift

During Season 15 of Diablo 4, players began receiving a free Resplendent Spark alongside an apology message from Blizzard. You do not need to clear a difficult dungeon or buy the Battle Pass to check for the gift. Simply visit the Horadric Post. There is one important catch, however, because some players received the message without the crafting material. Below, we explain where to look and how to confirm whether the reward was actually added to your account.

Why Blizzard is giving away a free Resplendent Spark in Season 15

Reports of the gift began appearing on September 25, 2026. The Spark was sent with an apology for issues surrounding the launch of Season of Hell's Legacy. The season opened with delays and technical problems, and the mail was intended as a thank-you to affected players. International outlets and community reports confirmed both the apology message and the attached crafting material.This is not a normal Seasonal Rank reward and not something you need to farm from a boss. The Spark is delivered through Diablo 4's account mail system. If the parcel is available on your account, all you need to do is claim its contents. However, current reports do not support promising the same mail contents to every account.

Where to find the Horadric Post

The Horadric Post was added in Season 15 and gives Blizzard a way to send messages, supplies, and rewards directly to players. You can find one in major cities across Sanctuary. Open the city map, look for the envelope icon, and interact with the marked object. We recommend checking the Post the next time you return to town so you do not miss an already delivered parcel.The system only works one way. You cannot use it to mail items to friends, and messages only arrive when Blizzard sends them. It is not a daily activity and not a repeatable way to farm Resplendent Sparks. An empty mailbox by itself does not mean anything is broken.

How to claim the free Resplendent Spark

Check the delivery on the character you are currently using for the season. Before opening the parcel, it can be useful to note how many Resplendent Sparks you already have in your Materials. That makes it easier to confirm whether the count increased after claiming the reward.

1. Log in to Diablo 4 and travel to a major city.
2. Find the Horadric Post envelope icon on the map.
3. Interact with the Post and review available deliveries.
4. Select Blizzard's apology message about Season 15 launch issues.
5. Check the attachment and choose Open Parcel.
6. If the reward appears on the ground, pick it up, then check your Resplendent Spark count in Materials.

Confirmed parcels contained one Resplendent Spark. Do not look only through normal weapon and armor inventory slots because this is a crafting material. Checking the Materials count is more reliable than searching for a familiar item icon. Simply reading the message also does not automatically claim the attachment.

What to do if the message arrives without a Spark

Players have reported several different results. Some received the message and Spark together, others saw only the apology text, and some reported no message at all. That means a missing attachment cannot automatically be blamed on something you did wrong. Blizzard has not publicly explained a universal eligibility rule that accounts for every report.First, make sure you are checking Materials rather than only your normal inventory. Then look for unopened deliveries and, if necessary, fully restart the updated game client. These are basic troubleshooting steps, not a guaranteed way to force the gift to appear. If an attachment was shown but your material count did not change after claiming it, take screenshots and report the problem through support or the official bug-report channels.We do not recommend deleting characters or restarting the season just for this parcel. There is no confirmed way to force the mail to be sent again. For the same reason, creating multiple characters should not be treated as an infinite farming method for apology Sparks. You can check the Post on your account, but promising one reward per character would be misleading.

When does the free Spark gift expire?

The reports we checked do not provide one confirmed universal expiration date for the Spark mail. If your parcel shows an expiry timer, follow the date shown there and do not leave the reward unclaimed. The information in this guide was checked on October 5, 2026, so we recommend checking the Horadric Post now rather than waiting until the end of the season.Do not confuse this gift with the separate Gift of the Tree bonus-reward event. That event was reported to run until October 7, but the same date should not be automatically applied to the Horadric Post Spark. They are separate reward systems. Completing Tree of Whispers activities also does not by itself fix a missing apology parcel.

What is a Resplendent Spark used for, and where else can you get one?

Resplendent Sparks are used in crafting Mythic gear. One free Spark is useful progress toward a future craft, but it does not mean every desired Mythic Unique immediately becomes available. Check the current recipe and all other material requirements in-game before spending rare resources. We recommend deciding which item your build actually needs first.The Horadric Post gift does not replace normal seasonal progression.
