Diablo 4 Season 15 Reputation Farm: Fastest Methods

At first glance, leveling Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto's powers in Season 15 of Diablo 4 looks harmless enough. You choose a Splinter of Evil, go about your usual endgame activities, and gradually earn new ranks. The problems start around the middle of the track, when the next upgrade already costs thousands of points and the bar barely moves after a normal activity. The reason is simple: different modes award wildly different amounts of reputation. Some activities also have hidden reward penalties, which means an hour in The Pit or The Undercity can be noticeably worse than simply running around a Helltide. Below, we'll go through the best ways to level the Splinter of Terror, Splinter of Destruction, and Splinter of Hatred to Rank 24 as quickly as possible, and also explain which popular methods stopped working after the season's first fixes.

How Splinter of Evil Reputation Works

After completing the seasonal questline, you will receive Diablo's Splinter of Terror, Baal's Splinter of Destruction, and Mephisto's Splinter of Hatred. Your character can bear only one of them at a time, and the active Splinter determines which reputation track you are currently progressing. This matters. If you spent two hours running around with the Splinter of Terror, all the reputation you earned went to Diablo. Baal and Mephisto will not suddenly like you more because of it.Each track has 24 ranks and requires 20,000 reputation to complete. The main power is available immediately, while the key upgrades unlock at Ranks 2, 6, 10, 16, 21, and 24. The remaining milestones gradually unlock War Plan modifiers and additional rewards. We covered all abilities and rewards from the three tracks separately in our guide to all Prime Evil Powers. Here, we only care about one question: how to earn those 20,000 points as quickly as possible.

What Gives Reputation?

The main source is special enemies. Regular mobs barely matter to the system, while Elite, Rare, and boss enemies give noticeably more reputation.According to recent player testing, the values are roughly:
  • regular Elite enemy - around 30 points;
  • Rare Elite enemy - roughly 75-90 points;
  • Unique enemy or boss - around 90-150 points.
Do not treat these numbers as a fixed price list. The exact reward depends on the activity, Torment level, and internal modifiers applied by the mode itself. That leads to the most important farming rule: we do not simply want the biggest possible pack of monsters. We want the highest Elite density in the shortest possible amount of time. That is why some impressive-looking endgame runs lose to a basic Helltide.

Best Reputation Farm - Helltides and Ruptures

After the first Season 15 fixes, Helltides became the most consistent way to level reputation, especially in a group.Do not just ride around the map killing everything you see. Look for Pandemonium Ruptures that appear inside the zone, enter them, and quickly clear the packs of Elite enemies and Helltide Harbingers. There are far more of them than during a normal open-world clear, so the reputation bar starts moving at a completely different pace.According to player testing at high Torment levels, one good Rupture can award roughly 2,000-4,000 reputation when playing solo. With a proper build, the event itself takes around two or three minutes. There is no need to pull out a calculator and expect exactly 4,000 points from every portal. Enemy density varies, some of your time goes into finding the next event, and your build speed obviously matters too. Even with those caveats, however, the result is noticeably better than most standard activities.

Look for Overlapping Ruptures

The best situation is when several events are very close to each other or their areas partially overlap. Finish one Rupture, dash a few times, and you are already clearing the next. This is where we recommend temporarily forgetting about chests on the other side of the Helltide and ignoring every random pack you encounter. As long as there are Ruptures nearby, keep moving between them.If finding the next event starts taking several minutes, efficiency drops immediately. In that case, switch to another area or do something else until a more convenient Helltide appears.

Why Helltide Is Much Faster in a Group

If you can put together a four-player party, use it. According to recent community testing, group Helltide farming currently outpaces solo farming by a noticeable margin, mainly because of enemy numbers and how many targets the entire group can kill.Under good conditions, players report roughly 10,000 reputation from a single Rupture for the group. This is an extreme best-case scenario on high Torment levels, so do not treat the number as guaranteed. The important part is this: do not split up into four corners of the map. Move together and clear one event after another. If everyone goes searching for their own portal, you lose the main advantage of this farming method. With good density, Helltides can wipe out huge chunks of the reputation track in a single session. Some players have reported clearing several late ranks in roughly half an hour this way.

Always Run Toward an Echo of the Primes

During a Helltide, you may sometimes see a warning that an Echo of the Primes is about to emerge. If that message appears, we recommend abandoning the regular Rupture and heading there. The encounter gives significantly more reputation than an ordinary Elite pack. According to player testing, the reward can reach around 6,000 points for a single event. These enemies also have a chance to drop additional Splinters of Evil. And those are useful for more than simply switching between Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto.Three different Splinters are used in the secret Tristram questline. If you have not reached it yet, we covered the full route in our guide to obtaining the Hellfire Torch.

Best Solo Farm - Escalating Nightmare Dungeons

If you do not want to run Helltides in a group, we recommend trying Escalating Nightmare Dungeons. With the right preparation, you can create an almost indecent number of Elite enemies within a relatively small area. The method becomes especially effective after leveling the Splinter of Hatred's War Plan bonuses. One of its modifiers allows Elite kills to reveal Horadric Altars, while other effects interact with Shrines. At that point, simply sprinting toward the boss through the shortest route is no longer enough.

How to Farm With Horadric Altars

First, clear almost the entire dungeon and kill the regular enemies, but do not touch the boss. Do not activate the Shrines or Horadric Altars you encounter either. Just remember where they are.Once most of the map has been revealed, return to the first Shrine and take its effect. Then run between the Horadric Altars you left behind and activate them one after another. They spawn additional groups of enemies, including the Elites we need.Kill the spawned packs while the Shrine effect is active. Then let the buff expire. With the correct War Plan modifiers, some of the enemies you killed will spawn again. After that, take the next Shrine and repeat the route. The result is a kind of snowball effect: instead of relying on one naturally spawned Elite group, you deliberately stack several waves inside one dungeon and earn reputation from all of them.

How Much Reputation Do Nightmare Dungeons Give?

With a very strong character and prepared War Plans, players report roughly 10,000 reputation in 10 minutes. Without a perfect route and extra tricks, the result is closer to half of that.So in terms of pure speed, a good group Helltide is still ahead. Nightmare Dungeons, however, also provide useful loot, materials, and progression for other systems, so the time does not feel like it was spent entirely on a single reputation bar. That is exactly why we would choose them as the main solo method. They are slightly slower, but there is much less of a feeling that an hour of your life disappeared solely to fill a seasonal meter.

Which Splinter of Evil Is Best for Reputation Farming?

If your goal is specifically to finish the reputation grind as quickly as possible, it makes sense to level Mephisto's Splinter of Hatred first. The reason is not the Splinter's base power, but its War Plan bonuses. It improves Nightmare Dungeons and eventually unlocks Horadric Altars, which are exactly what allow you to significantly increase Elite density. That creates a convenient progression route: earn your early ranks through Helltides, gradually strengthen the Splinter of Hatred, and then unlock a strong independent farming option through Nightmare Dungeons. There is no mandatory choice, though. If you already started with Diablo or Baal, you can safely continue. Progress on each track is saved separately, and sooner or later you will need to level the others anyway if you want every seasonal bonus.

Legion Events Are Great Between Main Farming Sessions

You should not sit around waiting twenty minutes for a Legion Event, but ignoring one that appears nearby would also be silly.According to current testing, one quick Legion Event gives around 6,000-8,000 reputation. It requires no complicated route or preparation. Show up, kill everything together with the other players, take the reward, and go back to whatever you were doing. We recommend using Legion Events as a break between Helltides or Nightmare Dungeons. They are not the main farming method, but the reward-to-time ratio is very good.

Should You Farm Waking Nightmares?

Regular smaller Waking Nightmares also give reputation, but we would not recommend running them back to back specifically for the reputation track. An average run gives around 1,000-2,000 points. You still need them for seasonal objectives, loot, and switching Splinters of Evil, but in terms of raw reputation speed they lose to Helltides and properly prepared Nightmare Dungeons.Run them when you actually need the rewards from the Nightmare itself. Farming the twentieth one in a row purely for reputation is rarely worth it.

Why You Should Not Farm Reputation in The Pit

The Pit is excellent for leveling Glyphs and handling other late-game goals, but seasonal reputation is awarded at a reduced rate inside it.According to player testing, Elite enemies there give roughly half their normal value. A target that would normally award 30 points gives around 15 instead. So yes, Mephisto improves The Pit, but that does not automatically make The Pit the best place to level his reputation. If you need Glyphs, go to The Pit. If you want to finish Rank 24 as quickly as possible, we recommend switching to Helltides or Nightmare Dungeons.

Why You Should Not Farm Reputation in The Undercity

The situation is even worse in The Undercity. The activity is excellent for experience and materials, but seasonal reputation is heavily reduced inside it. In testing, a regular Elite that would normally award around 30 points sometimes gave only about 3 points.Do not rely solely on the description of the Splinter of Destruction. Yes, Baal improves The Undercity and provides strong seasonal bonuses for it. But it is more efficient to level Baal's reputation track elsewhere, then return here for loot once the upgrades are already unlocked.

Infernal Hordes Are Also Poor for Reputation

The same applies to Infernal Hordes. The Splinter of Terror is tied to this activity, but reputation from the relevant enemies is reduced inside the mode. According to player testing, some Elite targets award around 18 points instead of the usual 30 or more.Hordes are still excellent for Aether and their own end rewards. Just do not spend several hours there if your only goal for the day is finishing Diablo's final ranks.

Should You Farm Lair Bosses?

Bosses award reputation, but repeatedly running Lairs is not especially efficient in terms of time. You need to spend materials, move between arenas, and wait through separate phases, while a good Helltide Rupture can spawn several Elite targets almost one after another. We therefore recommend farming bosses when you actually need their loot. Treat the extra reputation as a nice bonus. Burning through your entire material stockpile solely to fill the seasonal track makes very little sense.

Does the Old Summoner Farm Still Work?

No. If you found a video from the first days of the season showing someone standing next to The Summoner and endlessly killing his copies, you can close it.The method was very simple. Players reduced the boss to roughly one-third health, after which he repeatedly created copies. Each one counted as a valid enemy and awarded a decent amount of reputation. Players deliberately avoided killing The Summoner himself, turning a single fight into an endless source of points.People used single-target attacks, dismissed their Mercenary, and tried not to accidentally push the boss past the necessary phase. It was so effective that normal farming looked ridiculous by comparison. After the first few days of the season, the behavior changed. The extra copies stopped spawning consistently. According to recent reports, the old infinite loop can no longer be reproduced.Do not waste time trying to find the "correct damage" or stand in a special spot. For current reputation farming, we recommend Helltides instead.

How to Finish All Three Tracks at Rank 24 Faster

The most common mistake is constantly switching Splinters of Evil. Two Diablo ranks today, three Baal ranks tomorrow, a little Mephisto after that, and a week later everything is partially unlocked but nothing is properly leveled. We recommend choosing one track and pushing it all the way to Rank 24. That requires 20,000 reputation. Once it is finished, switch Splinters and repeat the same route with the next one.If you play solo, alternate between Helltides, Nightmare Dungeons, and Legion Events whenever they appear. In a group, you can focus almost entirely on Helltide Ruptures.Always choose the highest Torment level your character can clear quickly. If every pack takes you a minute on Torment XII but you erase it in seconds on Torment X, the lower difficulty can easily be more efficient over the course of an hour.
The point is not having a pretty difficulty number. The point is how many Elites you kill.

What to Do After Reaching Maximum Rank

Once you reach Rank 24, the system does not become a dead menu. You can continue earning reputation for repeatable rewards.According to current community data, the next repeatable cache requires 50,000 reputation. It can contain additional seasonal items, so fast farming remains useful even after you finish the main track.Additional Splinters of Evil are especially important. They are consumed when switching powers, and a full set of three different Splinters is required for a hidden recipe that leads to one of the season's biggest secrets. If you want to complete that entire chain, you first need to unlock the old version of the famous settlement. We have already prepared a separate guide to all Deckard Cain journals and unlocking Old Tristram. After that, you can move on to obtaining the Hellfire Torch, which specifically requires the Splinter of Terror, Splinter of Destruction, and Splinter of Hatred.

What Is the Best Reputation Farming Method Right Now?

If you want one simple answer, head into a Helltide and look for Pandemonium Ruptures. Solo, it is the clearest and most consistent option, while a good group can push the speed even higher. When there is no Helltide or you are tired of running around the open world, switch to Escalating Nightmare Dungeons and build your route around Shrines and Horadric Altars. If a Legion Event appears, jump in and grab several thousand reputation with almost no preparation.Leave The Pit, The Undercity, and Infernal Hordes for the rewards those activities are actually designed to provide. The fact that a specific Splinter of Evil is associated with a particular mode does not mean that mode is automatically the fastest place to level its reputation. And most importantly, stop looking for the old Summoner farm with infinite copies. That party is over. Right now, it is faster to find a good Helltide, stack as many Elites as possible, and earn in a few minutes what some regular activities give you for an entire run.
