Most creatures in Aniimo can be found directly in the open world, but simply exploring the map is not enough to fully complete the Aniilog. Some Aniimo only appear at night, during rain or thunderstorms, while others require you to meet a hidden condition, defeat specific enemies, or complete a quest. There are also Alpha, Omega, Prismana, and other rare forms that are easy to miss even after thoroughly exploring a region. In this guide, we'll explain how to track down missing Aniimo, where to catch rare and special forms, how to change their spawn conditions, and which requirements to watch for when completing the Aniilog.
How to Tell Which Aniimo You're Missing
Start by opening the map and the Aniilog. If you've never encountered a particular Aniimo before, its image will be completely hidden. Creatures you've already seen but haven't caught yet are displayed differently, making it easier to work out what's missing from your collection. Habitat information provides another useful clue. If you've already encountered the Aniimo in another region, open its entry and check the areas where it can appear. This is especially useful when completing regional collections because the same creature may need to be caught separately in every zone where it counts toward completion.Image unavailableFor some rare forms, the game explicitly lists the spawn requirement. It may involve specific weather, a particular time of day, defeating other Aniimo, a capture streak, or completing a quest. If you arrive at the correct location and nothing is there, check the form description before searching elsewhere. Adding other players as friends can also help. If one of them has already caught an Aniimo you haven't discovered, the game may reveal additional information about the creature and make it easier to track down.
Pay Attention to Time of Day and Weather
One of the main reasons a specific Aniimo may be missing from its usual location is that the world conditions are wrong. Some creatures only appear during the day or at night, while weather forms require rain, thunderstorms, snow, or other weather events.Image unavailableIf you know the spawn location but the Aniimo is absent, try changing the time of day. For weather forms, you'll need to wait for the appropriate conditions or use the region's later progression systems to influence the weather. Pay particular attention to the difference between rain and thunderstorms. Some forms can appear during either rain or a thunderstorm, while others require an actual thunderstorm.
How to Get Rainstorm and Thunderstorm Forms
Weather forms don't just look different. They often gain an additional element as well, so they're worth catching for more than just Aniilog completion.Luminelle's Rainstorm Form appears on Tideblossom Coast during rain or thunderstorms. Regular Luminelle is an Electric Aniimo, while the weather form also gains Water. Search the relevant part of the coast while it's raining.Turbo's Rainstorm Form can be found in Nimbus Fields. Rain or a thunderstorm is required for it to appear. This form combines Wind and Electric, and visually Turbo resembles a small storm cloud.Image unavailableScorchhowl's Thunderstorm Form appears in Beast Fang Ridge. This one specifically requires a thunderstorm, so regular rain isn't enough. The correct area is fairly easy to identify because lightning repeatedly strikes nearby. This form combines Fire and Electric.Thornblade's Thunderstorm Form can be found in the Sea of Flowers. Look for it during rain or a thunderstorm near the corresponding Thornblade habitat. This weather form combines Grass and Electric.Stellarys's Rainstorm Form appears in the Forest of Falling Stars and also requires rainy weather. Unlike the standard Dark-element Stellarys, this variant gains Water as an additional element.
How to Get Tubster
Tubster is one of the forms that won't simply appear while you're casually exploring a region. To make it spawn, you need to complete the local requirement by collecting all of the Incredible Eggs in that area.Image unavailableOnce the requirement is complete, Tubster appears at its special spawn point. Similar encounters exist in several regions, so when completing a regional Aniilog, check the condition separately for each area. Tubster can also appear as an Alpha Aniimo, giving you another collection-related encounter to complete.
How to Get Flamerion
Flamerion is one of the Aniimo whose appearance is tied to other Aniimo in the area. To trigger its spawn, you need to interact with the local Sparki population and complete the required capture condition.Sparki appear at night, so travel to the listed area after changing the time of day and start catching the required creatures. Once the condition is complete, Flamerion will appear nearby.Image unavailableFlamerion has different regional variants, so catching it once does not automatically complete every version. Check the requirements for the specific form in the Aniilog and pay attention to the region where you're completing the condition.
How to Get Ignitis
Ignitis evolves from Wisptis, although some regional forms can also appear in the world once you meet a special condition. To evolve one, use a Wisptis and defeat several Wisptis of the same form in a row. For example, the Forest Form can be unlocked by meeting the requirement in Mistwoods or Blitzwood. Once the condition is complete, you can evolve it after reaching the required level and using a Night Stone. If you're looking for Ignitis directly in the region instead, carefully read its spawn requirement. Simply visiting the correct habitat is often not enough. You may first need to complete an action involving the local Wisptis population.
Where to Find Chirpi
Chirpi appears in several regions, but some of its locations are easy to overlook. One can be found in the eastern part of The Argent Strait, while other forms appear in Echoback Landing, the Forest of Falling Stars, and Zephyrus Landbridge.Image unavailableChirpi also has Beach and Highland Forms, along with other variants. If you're trying to fully complete the collection, make sure you're checking regional forms rather than only the basic creature. If you've already encountered this Aniimo before, use the habitat information in the Aniilog. It's much faster than searching the entire region again.
Forest of Falling Stars
The Forest of Falling Stars contains several creatures that are easy to miss. Stellarys's Rainstorm Form can appear here, but only during rain or a thunderstorm. Regular Stellarys is also tied to an Alpha encounter, so it's better not to leave this one until the very end of your regional cleanup.Irisal can also be found in this area, along with regional variants of several other Aniimo. Some of them have only a very small spawn area, so if a creature doesn't appear where expected, try changing the time of day.Beach Forms from the Chirpi family also appear here. It's best to catch them while you're already hunting the region's other rare Aniimo so you don't have to return later for a single missing variant.
Beast Fang Ridge
Beast Fang Ridge is home to Alpha Scorchhowl, while its special form appears here during thunderstorms. The location is hard to miss because lightning repeatedly strikes nearby. Alpha Glynsera can also be found in this region, and another regional variant becomes available at night. Some creatures cannot be caught during their first story encounter, so after completing the corresponding event, return to the area and check the location again.Image unavailableSeveral local Aniimo are tied to the Warrior Journey. This questline is also required to obtain Inferlupa and continue progressing the Emberpup family, so you won't be able to fully complete the region before advancing far enough through its quests.
Driftwise Meadow
Driftwise Meadow contains several rare spawn points, including Irisal. Some creatures are confined to a single small section of the region, so simply following the main roads may not be enough to find everything. You can also find regional variants of Ice Aniimo and Turbo here. Check the edges of the area and locations near fast travel points. Several creatures spawn very close to them but still sit outside the route you'd normally follow during the story.
Mistwoods
Mistwoods is relatively easy to complete as long as you remember that regional duplicates still count separately. For example, Wisptis needs to be caught here even if you already have the same species in your overall collection. The region also contains an Alpha from one of the local evolution lines and Ignitis's Forest Form. The latter requires completing a condition involving Wisptis, so simply visiting its habitat won't make it appear.
Blitzwood
Blitzwood contains several regional Aniimo forms, and some creatures are split between the eastern and western parts of the area. Exploring only one side of the region is therefore not enough for full completion.Image unavailableOne of the Ignitis forms tied to Wisptis can also be obtained here. The region also contains Alpha Aniimo and several creatures with very limited spawn locations. When searching for something you're missing, use its habitat information in the Aniilog because the region's split layout makes it easy to search for the correct species on the wrong side of the map.
Sea of Flowers
The Sea of Flowers is where you can find Thornblade's Thunderstorm Form. Wait for rain or a thunderstorm, then head to its listed spawn point. The region also contains rare forms of other Aniimo that require a capture streak. If the requirement says to catch several creatures in succession, don't switch to another species until the condition is complete. Some Aniimo fly above the islands or inhabit small mountainous areas. For these targets, it's especially useful to use the game's tracking tools to identify the exact habitat before approaching the creature.
Tideblossom Coast
Most Aniimo on Tideblossom Coast can be found without special requirements, but a few exceptions can slow down Aniilog completion. Luminelle's Rainstorm Form appears during rain or thunderstorms. Other Aniimo become available here at night, so it's worth checking the region at different times of day. Some creatures only appear after progressing through story or side quests. If an Aniilog entry remains empty even though you've thoroughly explored the listed area, continue the region's quests and return later.
Rosetower Woods
Rosetower Woods contains an Alpha encounter for one of the local Aniimo, although some related creatures can also be caught without fighting the Alpha. Forms with only one spawn point are much easier to miss. Glynsera deserves particular attention. One of its variants requires a streak of Bonesky captures. Bonesky themselves appear at night and only in a specific part of the region. There is also a special event involving a group of dancing Aniimo. To progress it, you'll need to Twine into the appropriate form and join them. This unlocks another opportunity to encounter the required creature at night.Image unavailable
Zephyrus Landbridge
Zephyrus Landbridge contains Chirpi, several members of other familiar families, and Highland Forms. Tubster also requires the local Incredible Egg condition here. There are several Flameruff spawn points across the region, so check both sides of the area while completing the Aniilog. Ignitis's Highland Form can also be found here and is tied to the corresponding Wisptis form.
Russet Highlands
Russet Highlands contains an especially high number of creatures with hidden requirements. There are several Fire Aniimo spawn points, rare members of the Helgon family, and creatures tied to small environmental events. Some encounters can be found near stone ruins and hidden passages. If the area you need seems inaccessible, inspect nearby bushes and destructible objects. They may conceal additional sections of the map.Snowfield Forms only appear under the appropriate weather conditions. For example, one Aniimo can be found hidden inside a snowball near a Sanctum, while another form roams the region only during snowfall.
How to Get Inferlupa
Inferlupa is tied to the Warrior Journey, so you can't unlock the required evolution just by leveling up. First, progress through the relevant questline to reveal the evolution condition. You'll also need special materials tied to Flameruff. These must be obtained by defeating the required variants in the correct area because simply catching them does not always provide the item you need.Image unavailableBecause the quest itself contains time-gated stages, it's best to start Warrior early. If you wait until Inferlupa is the last creature you need for your collection, you may have to wait several real-world days for the next steps to become available.
How to Unlock Alternate Evolutions
Some Aniimo have branching evolution lines, and the form you get depends on more than just level. Requirements may include specific Pathfinder passive traits, defeating an Omega Aniimo, evolving in a particular region, or performing a special action in the world.Image unavailableAlways open the Aniilog and check the requirements for the exact branch before evolving. If you simply raise the creature's level and use the first available evolution stone, you may end up with the wrong form and have to find another member of the family. This is especially important for rare evolution lines where the additional requirement is tied to a quest or limited resource.
How to Get Forms Unlocked by Omega Aniimo
Some evolutions only become available after defeating the Omega version of the corresponding family. A story battle may not always be enough. In some cases, you'll need to continue a side story or return to the battle location later. If the evolution is still locked after the fight, read its description in the Aniilog. It lists additional requirements, including level, required quests, and the location where the condition must be completed. Sometimes you need to advance the in-game time or wait for the next stage of an event before the required object or Aniimo appears again.
How to Get Geoclaw and Unlock New Areas
Some rare Aniimo are tied not to catching other creatures but to progressing the regional Branch. One such case requires you to infuse enough Lumin Amber into the Breezy Plains Branch and unlock a special regional effect.Once you reach the required threshold, Earthwake Revelation becomes available, opening previously blocked areas and access to the encounter you need. Lumin Amber is therefore useful for more than Safari-related activities and exploration rewards. If you want to fully complete the Aniilog, you'll need to develop the regional Branches as well.
How to Get Aniimo from Hidden Caves
Several creatures are found in areas you cannot simply reach from the surface. Some underground locations, for example, are accessed through geysers, caves near rivers, or special passages.Image unavailableIn other cases, you'll need a specific Aniimo's field ability to interact with the environment. If you find a suspicious crystal, blockage, boulder, or patch of ground inside a cave, check the Pathfinding and Mobility abilities available to your team. Places like these often hide not only rare creatures but also materials, so when fully exploring a region, check even small side paths away from the main roads.
Special Evolution Requirements
Some evolution lines in Aniimo work in particularly unusual ways. One evolution requires you to walk along a beach until a creature of the opposite sex starts following your Aniimo. Once you reach the required level with that condition fulfilled, the evolution becomes available.Others require you to defeat a specific Omega form, perform a special action near a Sanctum, or develop a particular Pathfinder passive trait. There is no single rule that applies to all of them. If the evolution button remains locked even though your Aniimo is at the correct level, you're almost certainly missing an additional requirement. Open the creature's entry and read the full condition.
How to Get Rare Helgon Family Forms
Russet Highlands contains special members of the Helgon family, including variants tied to small local events. Some appear near stone pillars, while others become available after interacting with chests or accessing hidden areas. If you want one of the family's later evolutions for yourself, you'll also need to defeat the corresponding Omega Aniimo. After completing the story event, return to the arena and check the newly unlocked requirements. Some variants require an Aniimo with Perfect Potential. If you have special Cubes that guarantee a high-quality capture, it can be worth saving them for this evolution chain.
How to Get Besauce
Besauce is not a creature you need to search for in a normal habitat. Instead, you obtain it by exchanging special fragments. Fragment - Besauce is awarded from Pathfinder Challenges. Once you've collected enough, visit the Shop at any Outpost and exchange the fragments for Besauce. This means you cannot fully complete the Aniilog solely by catching creatures in the open world. Part of the collection is directly tied to other game systems.
Prismana Forms
Prismana Aniimo appear during Prismana Flow. When the event begins in a region, the relevant spawn is much easier to locate thanks to the highly visible pillar of light.Image unavailableEach region has its own Prismana form, so completing the collection requires participating in Prismana Flow across different areas. Later Branch progression can also let you influence the conditions for these encounters. If you're actively collecting Prismana forms, developing the Branches can significantly reduce the time spent waiting for the right event.
Aniimo from Events and Rewards
Not every creature is part of the standard open-world collection. Some Aniimo and forms are distributed through limited-time events, the Battle Pass, special quests, and Homeland progression.A missing map marker does not necessarily mean you've overlooked a hidden cave. If an Aniimo is not part of the normal regional Aniilog, check the current events and progression rewards. Some events reward not only the Aniimo itself, but also evolution items or special eggs containing a rare form. It's best to claim these rewards while the event is active because there may not be a regular alternative way to obtain them.
The Easiest Way to Collect Every Aniimo
Don't try to complete the entire Aniilog in one enormous cleanup run after finishing the story. It's much faster to catch creatures alongside normal exploration. Whenever you enter a new area, check its local collection and catch at least one of every species, even if you already own that Aniimo from another region. Then check any unknown forms separately. If the description lists a time of day, change the clock immediately. If it requires rain or a thunderstorm, mark the location and return when the weather is right. If the form is tied to another Aniimo, complete the requirement in the exact region specified.Once you've collected the regular creatures, move on to Alpha and Omega Aniimo, hidden evolutions, quests, weather forms, and Prismana forms. Leave event rewards, exchanges, and other progression systems until the end. This approach prevents you from reaching dozens of hours into the game only to discover that you need to revisit the entire Breezy Plains because you missed local versions of creatures you had already caught elsewhere.
