In Aniimo, your character level directly affects access to story quests and additional game modes. The first few dozen levels come quickly through the main story, but progression starts slowing down around level 40. Some quests require you to reach level 45 first, then level 50, and leveling becomes even slower afterward.Simply defeating Aniimo in the open world is inefficient at this point. Most of the game's experience, called Safaris, comes from regional exploration, side quests, challenges, and daily activities. In this guide, we'll explain how to level up quickly in Aniimo, where to earn the most Safaris, and which activities you shouldn't skip.

Complete Main Story Quests

As long as the main story is available, it should remain your top priority. Story quests award plenty of Safaris while also unlocking new regions, mechanics, and activities needed for further progression. The first real slowdown begins around level 40, when the story starts stopping your progress with character-level requirements. At that point, you'll need to switch to open-world content and make up the missing experience through other activities.
Level 50 is an especially important milestone. Reaching it unlocks additional content, including the Holo-Battle Sim and Operation: Egg Heist, so it's worth getting there as soon as possible.

Complete Journey Quests

If the main story is temporarily locked behind a level requirement, open the Log and switch to the Journey section first. This is where you'll find regional side stories, many of which are fairly quick to complete and reward around 1,000 Safaris. These quests usually send you out to explore the world, interact with wild Aniimo, track down specific creatures, or complete smaller objectives. As a result, they also increase regional progress and unlock additional activities along the way. Some stages also reward Report Cards, which are used to develop your Pathfinder talents. Journey quests are therefore useful for more than just leveling, as they also strengthen your Pathfinder and unlock new abilities. The Warrior questline deserves special attention. It is tied to Ignitis and unfolds across several real-world days, so it's best to start it early. Later stages lead to further progression for this Aniimo family and unlock additional opportunities.

Increase Progress in Every Region

Each area of Breezy Plains has its own exploration percentage. Reaching certain thresholds awards additional rewards, and reaching 70% exploration grants 500 Safaris. For this reason, don't immediately rush onward with the story every time you enter a new area. Catch local Aniimo, complete challenges, and clear other activities along the way until the region reaches at least the Silver Collection Badge tier. Keep in mind that creature collections are tracked separately for each area. If you've already caught an Ignitis in Nimbus Fields, that doesn't mean it automatically counts toward your Mistwoods collection. To progress the second area, you'll need to catch another Ignitis there.
This means even familiar Aniimo are worth catching at least once in each new area. The marker for a newly discovered creature applies to your overall Aniilog collection, not the progress of a specific region, so you can't rely on that indicator alone.

How to Find Missing Aniimo

If you can't figure out which Aniimo you're missing for regional completion, open its Aniilog page and check its habitats. If you've already encountered the creature elsewhere, the game will show the regions where it can be found. Some Aniimo have additional spawn conditions. Certain creatures only appear at night, after defeating other Aniimo, or after completing a specific sequence of actions. Always read the requirements on the creature's page instead of simply traveling to the listed location. For example, one Ignitis form requires you to use a Basic Form Ignitis and defeat several Wisptis of the required form. Simply traveling to the correct area without meeting the condition won't make the target appear. Other rare Aniimo work in a similar way. Under certain conditions, Glynsera requires you to hunt at night and catch several Bonesky in a row first. These requirements are easy to miss, so always check the description of an unknown form when completing a regional collection.

Complete Pathfinder Challenges

Pathfinder Challenges can be found on the expanded map. Many of them award 300 Safaris for the first clear, along with materials used to develop your Aniimo. The reward changes after the first completion, so uncompleted challenges are the most valuable ones for fast leveling. If you come across a Pathfinder Challenge with a first-clear reward while exploring a region, it's usually worth completing it immediately.
These activities are also worth doing because the materials they provide will help strengthen your team. You're leveling your character while keeping your Aniimo strong enough for the next regions at the same time.

Clear Sanctums

Sanctums also provide substantial first-clear rewards. Some award around 500 Safaris, so it's worth completing each one at least once while exploring a region. Certain Sanctums take considerably longer than regular battles or smaller activities, but the one-time reward combined with regional exploration progress usually makes them worth the effort.Repeating Sanctums purely for character experience is much less efficient. Their main leveling value comes from the first clear.

Defeat Alpha and Omega Aniimo

First-time victories against Alpha and Omega Aniimo also award additional Safaris. Some challenges grant around 800 Safaris, making these enemies another strong source of experience while clearing the map. Some Alpha and Omega Aniimo only become available after specific Journey quests. This is another reason not to ignore side stories, as completing them gradually unlocks more Safari sources throughout the world.

Collect Lumin Amber

You'll regularly come across Lumin Amber while exploring the world. Collecting it can award additional Safaris, so even ordinary exploration gradually contributes to your character level.Lumin Amber is useful for more than experience, however. You need to infuse it into Branches to strengthen them and unlock regional Blessings. In Breezy Plains, developing this system makes further exploration much easier. It's worth collecting Lumin Amber whenever you see it nearby, even if it means taking a small detour. Some pieces are hidden behind Lumin Marks, Lumin Gatherings, and other small environmental puzzles.

Complete Daily Activities

Make sure to check the Daily Activity section of the Institute Guide every day. The objectives are generally simple: catch several Aniimo, photograph a creature, spend Primegy, purchase an item, or simply log in.
Filling the activity gauge unlocks several reward bundles containing Safaris. In total, Daily Activity can provide several thousand experience points, and you'll complete most of the requirements naturally while playing. The important part is remembering to claim the unlocked rewards manually. Even if you've already earned enough activity points, the rewards remain in the menu until you collect them yourself.

Spend Your Primegy

Primegy is consumed by various activities and gradually regenerates on its own. In the current version, you recover one point every six minutes, so leaving the gauge capped for long periods is inefficient.Primegy is used to claim rewards from Alpha and Omega Aniimo, run the Holo-Battle Sim, finish crafting certain items, and take part in other activities. Spending a certain amount of Primegy is also one of the Daily Activity objectives. Try to use it regularly on content that already provides materials you need for your team. This way, you gain upgrade resources while progressing your daily reward gauge at the same time.

Catch Rare Aniimo

While traveling, keep catching creatures even after you've completed the basic collection for a region. New species, forms, and certain rarer variants can award additional rewards and Safaris. This works especially well when combined with regional Collection Badge progress. A single catch can advance your Aniilog, regional exploration percentage, and character level at the same time.
There is little reason to endlessly catch the same common Aniimo solely for leveling. Most of the experience comes from new discoveries and completing collection requirements.

Complete the Holo-Battle Sim

The Holo-Battle Sim becomes particularly important once you reach level 50. First-time clears at different difficulties award additional Safaris and also count toward Elite Training objectives.Easy Holo-Battle Sim becomes one of your first additional activities once you reach the required progression milestone. Common and Hard difficulties unlock later and offer their own rewards.Leveling slows down considerably after level 50, so it's better to combine the Holo-Battle Sim with map completion, Journey quests, and Daily Activity instead of relying on it alone.

Don't Forget Elite Training

Elite Training is one of the main character progression systems. It is divided into chapters with required and optional objectives that reward badges, Safaris, Credits, and various materials. Many requirements are completed naturally as you play. You'll be asked to catch Aniimo, earn Collection Badges, defeat Alpha Aniimo, spend Primegy, clear the Holo-Battle Sim, and develop your creatures.Check Elite Training periodically and claim any completed objectives. It's easy to fulfill several requirements accidentally in Aniimo and forget to collect the rewards afterward. Elite Training is also important because it is tied to Pathfinder Title promotions and raising your maximum character level, so you won't be able to ignore the system completely.

Develop Your RV Homeland

Quests related to your RV Homeland also provide rewards and usually don't require complicated tasks. You can complete them alongside other activities while traveling between regions. As your RV Homeland develops, you'll unlock Trips that let you send Aniimo out on their own. They return with various resources and can sometimes bring back Eggs. This system matters more for developing your collection than for rapidly leveling your character, but the related quests still provide additional rewards. For that reason, you shouldn't leave your RV Homeland completely untouched.

How to Level from 40 to 50 Faster

This stretch is the first major leveling wall because the story starts requiring specific character levels. If you've already completed every available main quest, open the Journey section first and clear the side stories with large Safari rewards.
After that, revisit unfinished areas and raise each region's collection progress to at least 70%. Along the way, catch missing Aniimo, collect Lumin Amber, complete Pathfinder Challenges and Sanctums, and get your first victories against Alpha and Omega Aniimo. At the same time, make sure to claim your Daily Activity rewards and check Elite Training. Combining these activities is usually enough to bridge the gap to level 50 without mindlessly farming ordinary enemies.

How to Level Faster After Level 50

Progress slows down again after level 50, so there is no single large source of Safaris that will carry you on its own. Keep completing regions, tracking down missing Aniimo, and finishing Journey quests, but add the Holo-Battle Sim and other newly unlocked high-level activities to your routine.Pay particular attention to areas that aren't fully explored. Several Collection Badge rewards, unfinished Pathfinder Challenges, and missed side quests can add up to a significant portion of your next level.Don't forget Daily Activity either. After level 50, it becomes especially valuable because of its consistency. Even if most of the map is already complete, this Safari source refreshes every day.

Fastest Way to Level Up

As long as the main story is available, prioritize it. Whenever you enter a new area, collect nearby Lumin Amber, catch local Aniimo, and complete Pathfinder Challenges as you encounter them so you don't have to return for everything later.
When the story stops you with a level requirement, switch to Journey quests and complete side stories. Then raise the collection progress of available regions to at least 70%, clear remaining Sanctums, defeat Alpha and Omega Aniimo, and finish outstanding Pathfinder Challenges.Every day, complete Daily Activity in the Institute Guide and avoid leaving your Primegy capped for too long. Once you reach level 50, add the Holo-Battle Sim and other newly unlocked content while continuing to finish collections in older regions.
If you follow this approach, you should rarely need to farm ordinary enemies specifically for experience. Most Safaris in Aniimo come from one-time exploration rewards, quests, Collection Badges, and first clears. The fastest way to level is to steadily complete the map rather than stay in one area grinding endless battles.
