Forza Horizon 5 gives us hundreds of cars to collect, houses to buy, upgrades to install, and plenty of reasons to keep a healthy supply of Credits. Fortunately, Mexico is also packed with ways to earn them. Some of the advice that worked at launch is outdated now, so below I have collected the methods that still make sense if we want to build up our balance without relying on old exploits. The map covers a huge part of Mexico, and the Horizon Festival expands into several outposts devoted to Road Racing, Dirt Racing, Cross Country, PR Stunts, and Street Racing. A varied garage is useful, but the best cars and expensive builds can quickly drain our account. So, let us figure out where the money comes from.
Increase the Difficulty
Yes, raise it instead of lowering it. If we are already comfortable beating the Drivatars, moving to a harder difficulty increases the Credit bonus for races. The same applies to several driving assists. Turning off help we no longer need can raise the payout even further. There is no reason to jump straight to Unbeatable. Increase the difficulty one step at a time and watch the bonus shown in the Difficulty menu. A larger multiplier is only useful if we can still finish races consistently.
Sell Cars at the Auction House
Car tradingCar tradingThe Auction House remains one of the best ways to turn unwanted cars into Credits. If a duplicate or valuable reward car is sitting unused in our garage, check what similar listings are selling for before putting it up for auction. We can also try buying cars cheaply and reselling them, but this requires some knowledge of the market. Ordinary Autoshow cars are often poor targets because everyone can buy them directly. Rare seasonal cars, hard-to-find models, and cars that are temporarily unavailable tend to be much more interesting. There is still risk involved. A car can fail to sell, prices can change, and the Auction House takes a fee from successful sales. Do not spend the entire balance on a car simply because it looks underpriced.
Forza Hub Rewards No Longer Work
Forza Hub rewardsForza Hub rewardsThis method appeared in older versions of the guide, but it is no longer relevant. Forza Hub was retired in September 2021, and the weekly Forza Rewards credit program ended on May 5, 2022. We cannot log into the old app today and collect regular Credit rewards for Forza Horizon 5.Forza Horizon 5 instead uses its own in-game reward systems, including the Festival Playlist, Accolades, Wheelspins, Car Mastery rewards, and occasional loyalty gifts.
Use Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins
Wheelspins are still one of the easiest passive ways to receive Credits. We earn regular Wheelspins while leveling up, and additional spins can come from Car Mastery perks, Festival Playlist activities, Player Houses, and other rewards.A normal Wheelspin gives one random prize, while a Super Wheelspin gives three. The result can be Credits, cars, or other rewards, so there is no guaranteed payout. Still, over a long playthrough they add a substantial amount of money and often save us from buying cars ourselves. If we have enough Credits to think long term, the Hotel Castillo Player House costs 5,000,000 CR and grants a daily Wheelspin after it has been purchased. It takes time to recover that price through spins alone, so I would not buy it purely as an early-game money farm.
Spend Skill Points in Car Mastery
Skill Points are easy to forget about, but many cars have useful rewards hidden inside their Car Mastery trees. Depending on the vehicle, these can include Credits, Wheelspins, Super Wheelspins, XP bonuses, or even another car.Open the Car Mastery page whenever we start using a new vehicle and check the tree before spending points blindly. The old launch-era methods that repeatedly farmed cheap cars for Super Wheelspins were patched long ago, but legitimate Car Mastery rewards are still part of the game.
Win Races
Win racesWin racesThere is still no more straightforward way to earn Credits than actually racing. Every event pays us, and longer races generally offer larger rewards. If we combine regular victories with a comfortable difficulty bonus, the balance grows steadily without any special tricks.Do not forget that racing also gives XP, Skill Points, Accolades, and Wheelspins indirectly. In practice, a race can pay us several times: once through the Credit reward and again through the systems we progress along the way.
Complete the Festival Playlist
The Festival Playlist is much more useful than the old version of this guide suggested. Seasonal challenges can reward us with rare cars, Wheelspins, Super Wheelspins, Forzathon Points, Backstage Passes, and other prizes. The cars are particularly important. A vehicle that is difficult to obtain outside a seasonal reward can become extremely valuable in the Auction House. We do not have to sell every exclusive car, of course, but duplicates and cars we do not plan to drive can turn a weekly Playlist into a large amount of Credits. As of 2026, older Festival Playlists also return through community voting, while many previous hard-to-find cars are available through the Horizon Backstage. This makes the economy less dependent on permanently missable seasonal cars than it was during the first years of the game.
Complete Accolades
Accolades track almost everything we do in Forza Horizon 5. Some award cars, Wheelspins, or other useful prizes, while Accolade Points advance our overall Horizon Adventure progression. The important part is that Accolades often reward things we would be doing anyway: winning races, discovering roads, completing PR Stunts, collecting cars, or finishing Horizon Stories. Before grinding the same activity for Credits, check the Accolades menu. We may be able to earn money and unlock another reward at the same time.
Unlock Horizon Festival Outposts
Horizon FestivalHorizon FestivalOpening the different Horizon Festival outposts does not directly create larger prize pools every time we upgrade them, as some early guides claimed. Their real value is that Horizon Adventures unlock more races, Stories, PR Stunts, and other activities across Mexico. That gives us more events to complete, more Accolades to earn, and more chances to collect Wheelspins and valuable reward cars. In other words, progressing through Horizon Adventure helps our finances because it opens the systems that actually pay us.
VIP Gives Double Race Credits
If we own the optional VIP Membership, race rewards are doubled. VIP also provides weekly bonus Super Wheelspins and several other extras. This is obviously not a free money-making method, so there is no reason to buy VIP solely for Credits, but owners should remember that regular racing becomes considerably more profitable.Original source: DexertoThat is everything you need to know about making Credits quickly in Forza Horizon 5. For most players, the best approach is simple: race at a comfortable difficulty, claim every Wheelspin, complete the Festival Playlist, spend Car Mastery points wisely, and sell valuable cars we do not need.
