During the main job Automatic Love in Cyberpunk 2077, V visits the Clouds dollhouse in Japantown while searching for Evelyn Parker. At reception, you must jack into the system, choose a safeword, pay 500 eddies, deposit your weapons, and then select one of two compatible dolls: Angel or Skye. The game presents this as if it might be an important decision, but it does not change the outcome of the mission or any later storyline. In the current version of Cyberpunk 2077, the choice is purely a matter of which character and version of the scene you would rather see.
Angel or Skye: What's the Difference?
Angel is the male doll and waits in booth 6, while Skye is the female doll and waits in booth 9. Their dialogue is worded a little differently, but both conversations follow the same structure and eventually provide V with the same information about Evelyn. Neither choice affects Judy's attitude toward V, romance options, later quests, achievements, or any of the game's endings. You can therefore choose Angel or Skye entirely according to personal preference without worrying about hidden consequences.Talk to the receptionist at Clouds and choose Angel or SkyeTalk to the receptionist at Clouds and choose Angel or SkyeOnce inside the booth, V enters the doll session and can either follow the more personal conversation or use the selected safeword to end the programmed part of the encounter. If you are only interested in progressing the investigation, using the safeword lets you get to the questions about Evelyn more quickly. Angel and Skye both point V toward Tom, so the objective after the session is identical regardless of whom you selected. There is no special reward, unique item, or better quest outcome attached to either doll.
Does Choosing Angel or Skye Affect Judy's Romance?
No. The choice has no effect on Judy Alvarez, her later side jobs, or the possibility of romancing her with an eligible V. It also does not influence Johnny Silverhand's relationship percentage or any ending route. Automatic Love contains decisions with more visible consequences later, but the doll selection is not one of them. If you have seen older guides warning that one choice can alter Judy's storyline, you can safely ignore that advice.
What Should You Do After Talking to Angel or Skye?
After the session, continue investigating Clouds and make your way into the VIP area to learn more about Evelyn. You will eventually reach Oswald "Woodman" Forrest, and this conversation is much more important than the earlier Angel-versus-Skye choice. Depending on your dialogue options, previous gigs, Attributes, and how aggressively you entered the restricted area, you may be able to get the information peacefully or end up fighting Woodman. If he becomes hostile and dies, you can still obtain the information you need from his computer and continue Automatic Love normally.Whether Woodman lives does have a small effect on later content. If you leave him alive, he can appear again during Judy's side job Ex-Factor, where V may get another opportunity to confront him. Killing him during Automatic Love removes that later encounter and changes some dialogue, but it does not block Judy's overall questline by itself. This consequence belongs to the Woodman decision, not to whether you chose Angel or Skye at reception.
Who Is Better: Angel or Skye?
There is no objectively better option because the result is the same. Choose Angel if you want the male version of the Clouds session, or Skye if you prefer the female version. Both provide the same clue about Evelyn and send V toward the same next objective. The safest answer for a current 2026 guide is therefore simple: pick whichever character you want, because Angel and Skye have no gameplay or story consequences beyond minor dialogue and the booth number.
