Resident Evil Requiem revolves around two protagonists with completely different approaches to survival. As Grace, you will spend most of your time conserving resources, hiding from dangerous enemies, and solving puzzles, while Leon's sections are much more combat-focused. In this walkthrough, we'll go through every major location in order, covering puzzles, key items, and the most difficult encounters.
Wrenwood Hotel — Grace
After the opening scenes, you take control of Grace Ashcroft. Follow the street toward the Wrenwood Hotel. On the way, check the information board on the right to pick up the Wrenwood City Guide. Continue forward until you reach the cordoned-off crime scene. After speaking with the police officer, Grace will be allowed into the alley. Follow the only available route, pass beneath the archway, climb the steps, and enter the hotel.Image unavailableInside, continue through the corridor and kitchen. There is a small Resident Evil 7 reference inside the refrigerator, but it is not required for progression. Open the door at the far end of the kitchen to enter the Bar & Lounge.
How to Reach Room 204
In the Bar & Lounge, find the Photo of Grace pinned near the bar. Pick up the Photo of Grace and examine the back. You will find an Old Key attached to it, along with a note inviting Grace to Room 204.Afterward, the hotel entrance will become inaccessible. Use the Old Key on the door to the right of the bar and follow the long corridor into the Lobby. Here you can pick up the Hotel Pamphlet, while the office behind the reception desk contains the Notice of Closure. You can also find the Wrenwood Hotel Floor Plan on the wall. Go up the main staircase. The Wire Cutters are inside a toolbox on the pool table. Take them and cut the wire around the double doors at the far end of the Rec Room.Image unavailableFollow the corridor until you reach the red door to Room 204. Inside, inspect the photographs spread across the bed. One of them triggers a flashback to events from eight years earlier.
Grace's Flashback and Alyssa's Hidden Stash
During the flashback, follow Alyssa Ashcroft through the hotel. There are no difficult actions here, but during the Lobby sequence, pay close attention to the rectangular painting on the wall. Alyssa hides an important item behind it. Keep following her until the memory ends. Once you return to the present, leave Room 204 and head back down to the Lobby.Image unavailableFind the same painting from the flashback. If you are facing the stairs, it will be on the left. Move the luggage cart out of the way and inspect the wall. Grace will retrieve the hidden case. Open it, read Alyssa's Journal, then inspect the second item inside: the disk.
How to Escape the Police Officer
After examining Alyssa's stash, the police officer you met earlier becomes infected and attacks Grace. At the start of the sequence, Grace's clothing gets caught on the luggage cart. Hold the interaction button to break free while moving from side to side. Keep an eye on the officer's shotgun: whenever the barrel is centered on the screen, immediately move out of the way. Roughly halfway through the sequence, the infected officer will strike the cart. During the struggle, Grace automatically picks up the Emergency Exit Key. Keep fighting until she grabs the fire poker and gets back on her feet. Then immediately run upstairs. The Emergency Exit is next to the Rec Room, opposite the fireplace. Use the key and watch the cutscene.Image unavailable
Elbridge — Leon
After the events at the hotel, you take control of Leon S. Kennedy for the first time. He arrives in Elbridge, spots Victor Gideon with Grace, and finds himself caught in the middle of a local outbreak.
How to Survive the Elbridge Outbreak
Continue down the street until a woman transforms into an infected directly in front of Leon. Shoot her in the head, then follow up with a melee attack once she is staggered. Several more enemies will appear farther ahead. Combine accurate shots with melee attacks whenever possible to conserve ammunition. Infected enemies can drop ammo.Image unavailableLeon also carries a Hatchet. It is useful if you run low on ammunition, but keep an eye on its durability and sharpen it when necessary. You can also pick up a Green Herb along the way. Some infected enemies drop axes, clubs, and other objects that Leon can throw back at them. Once you reach the intersection with the car crash, prepare to properly use the Requiem revolver for the first time. It deals enormous damage, but ammunition is extremely limited, so after the introduction it is better to switch back to your more conventional weapons.Climb over the vehicles and continue pursuing Victor. The section soon ends and the game switches back to Grace.
Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center — Grace: First Encounter with The Girl
Grace wakes up in Room 203 of the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center. She is strapped upside down to a gurney while a machine drains her blood. Once you break free, search the room and head into the corridor. Move toward the red light and activate the switch at the end of the hallway. Part of the corridor will light up, revealing a horse statue farther ahead.Continue until you reach the locked gate with a fuse box. One Fuse is missing.Image unavailable
Where to Find the Cherub Key and Lighter
There is a small cabinet near the fuse box. Open the drawer and take the Cherub Key. Return to Room 201 and unlock the door. There is a Typewriter here, so make sure to save your game.Continue into the adjoining room. A locked fuse box is mounted on the wall, while a Lighter sits nearby. You cannot open the fuse box yet, so take the light source first. Now enter Room 202. Use the Lighter to explore the room and find a note explaining that the Screwdriver was moved to the Nurses' Station. You can also find an important book here: Don't Go into the Dark!.Image unavailable
How to Escape The Girl
The Girl moves through openings in the ceiling and is especially dangerous in dark areas. The easiest way to track her position is by sound, so listen carefully for movement above you. The monster reacts to noise, including running and falling objects. However, The Girl cannot tolerate bright light. If you reach a well-lit area, she cannot properly pursue Grace and will eventually retreat. After your first encounter at the Nurses' Station, turn around and run back to the illuminated Room 203. The Girl will try to follow, but the light forces her back into the ceiling.
Where to Find the Screwdriver
Return to the Nurses' Station. There is a movable cart inside, while a red toolbox sits on a high shelf opposite it. You need to push the cart toward the cabinet and climb up. The problem is that several objects will fall to the floor while you move it, attracting The Girl. After the first loud noise, hide and wait for the monster to investigate the area. Once she moves away, continue pushing the cart.Image unavailableThe second time, The Girl will smash through a nearby door. Use the newly opened route to get around her, then return to the cart after she leaves again. Push it up to the cabinet, climb on top, and open the toolbox. Inside is the Screwdriver.
Where to Find the Fuse and Open the Gate
Return to Room 201. If The Girl blocks the hallway, you can lure her back toward the brightly lit Room 203 and wait for her to retreat. Use the Screwdriver on the fuse box and take the Fuse.Image unavailableThe lights will go out and The Girl will appear overhead almost immediately. Do not stop. Run back to the gate near the horse statue and insert the Fuse into the empty slot. A story scene will begin, ending Grace's first major section.
Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center — Leon: First Visit
Control shifts to Leon. After arriving at the Care Center, follow the nurse into the room where he is supposed to wait for Victor. Instead of the doctor, several infected enemies soon appear.
How to Defeat the Chainsaw Infected
The most dangerous enemy in the first wave is armed with a chainsaw. Shoot him in the head or legs to stagger him, then deal additional damage with the Hatchet. Chainsaw attacks can be parried. Watch for the prompt and use the Hatchet just before the strike lands. After the enemy dies, the chainsaw falls to the floor and continues spinning for a short time. Do not approach it until it stops, or Leon will take damage. Pick up the Chainsaw afterward and use it against the remaining infected. Try to get out of the cramped starting room and circle around the beds so the enemies cannot surround you.Image unavailableOnce the area is clear, search the room, collect supplies, and use the Chainsaw to cut through the obstruction on the door. The weapon breaks afterward. Continue along the corridor. Listen for the familiar sound cue to find the first Mr. Raccoon. Destroy the figurine with the Hatchet to avoid wasting ammunition. Go up the stairs and continue until the next story scene.Image unavailable
Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center — Grace: Three Quartz Pieces
After meeting Leon, Grace receives the Requiem revolver. You now need to escape the Care Center. Examine the door in the Central Hall. The mechanism requires three items: the Moon Quartz, Sun Quartz, and Star Quartz.
How to Get Through the West Wing
Start by going after the Moon Quartz. Grace receives the West Wing Keycard during her introduction to Emily. Unlock the West Wing and head toward the Kitchen. An infected Chef patrols the area and is easier to avoid at this stage. Wait until he returns to cutting meat, then hide behind the stoves. A cart on the right blocks the route.Image unavailableYou can slowly push the cart, stopping every time the Chef becomes alert. A faster option is to attract his attention from the opposite side. The infected enemy will strike the cart himself and clear the path. Exit through the double doors.
How to Open the Shortcut and Find the B934
In the next hallway, unlock the door leading back to the Central Hall. Do this immediately so you do not have to cross the Kitchen again later. Then enter the Dining Room. The B934 handgun is lying near one of the tables. The two infected enemies nearby will not attack unless disturbed. Grace's ammunition is best conserved. If you do not need to kill an enemy, fire a few shots into its legs, knock it down, and run past. Continue to the staircase and go up to the second floor of the West Wing.
Where to Find the S&S M232 and Defeat the Screaming Infected
Enter the Bar & Lounge on the second floor. A special infected woman in a white dress is inside and can stun Grace with a powerful scream. The attack works at range and leaves Grace vulnerable, so if you have enough ammunition, it is safer to eliminate her immediately with accurate headshots. She drops an Antique Coin when defeated. The S&S M232 handgun is on the bar counter between the sinks. It is slightly more powerful than the B934, making it the more convenient handgun for the sections ahead.
How to Get the Moon Quartz
Head to the Chairman's Office. Inside is a puzzle box with three symbols: Moon, Sun, and Star. Take the Pencil from the desk at the far end of the office. Then return to the torn notebook near the entrance and shade the page with it.Image unavailableThis reveals the following combination:
Moon → Sun → Star → Moon.
Enter the sequence on the puzzle box and take the Moon Quartz.
Where to Find the Red Jewel and East Wing Keycard
The Chairman's Office also contains a Unicorn Trinket Box. Examine it in your inventory, turn it around, and press the hidden button on the back. Inside is the Red Jewel. Return to the first floor of the West Wing and insert it into the indented door leading to the Parlor. Inside are coin-operated cabinets where Antique Coins can be exchanged for useful upgrades. However, make sure to examine the severed arm at the far end of the room and take the East Wing Keycard.Red Jewel used to enter the ParlorRed Jewel used to enter the ParlorCoin exchange cabinetsCoin exchange cabinets
What to Do in the East Wing
Return to the Central Hall and use the new keycard. In the Examination Room, pick up the Hemolytic Injector. There is also a corpse with its internal organs missing. Remember its location, as you will need to return here later. Continue to the Blood Lab. Take the Blood Collector from the table. This allows you to collect Infected Blood and use it later for crafting.Blood CollectorBlood CollectorThe first Blood Specimen is next to the laser microscope. Analyze it to unlock the recipes for Handgun Ammo and Hemolytic Injectors. Continue through the Waiting Room afterward. You can also unlock another shortcut back to the Central Hall here.
How to Get the ID Wristband (Level 1)
Go up to the second floor of the East Wing and enter the Lead Researcher's Office. Examine the photographs and the note near the puzzle box, then save your game. The ID Wristband (Level 1) is in a nearby corridor. As soon as you pick it up, a huge mutant called Chunk appears.ID WristbandID WristbandIf you are low on ammunition, do not try to kill him yet. Retreat and wait for the monster to leave. Chunk will continue wandering through the Care Center's corridors, so you can deal with him later.
Where to Find the Corrosive
Head to the Conference Room on the second floor of the East Wing. Another screaming infected is inside. Her scream wakes the other enemies in the room, so retreat toward the entrance and deal with them one at a time. After the fight, enter the room where the infected was standing and take the Corrosive from the table.
How to Get the Sun Quartz
Return to the Lead Researcher's Office. After the story scene, approach the puzzle box and use the Corrosive on its reinforced lock. The solution can be determined from two photographs in the office.Puzzle solutionPuzzle solutionThe correct sequence is:
Star → Sun → Moon → Sun.
Open the puzzle box and take the Sun Quartz. There is also a leatherbound notebook inside. Make sure to read the file titled Unlocking the Organ Transport Box, as you will need the instructions almost immediately.
Where to Find the Artificial Lungs
Return to the first floor. A Wrench can be found in the Guard's Office near the Garage. Take it and save your game. Then enter the Garage. An Organ Transport Box is sitting in the bed of an open truck. Examine it in your inventory and open the panel on the back.Following the instructions you found earlier, do the following:Turn the switch to AutoTurn the switch to Auto
turn the round switch to Hand;
move the right slider to the middle position;
press plug No. 5;
press plug No. 2;
turn the switch to Auto.
The box will open, allowing you to take the Artificial Lungs. When you try to leave, a heavy vehicle driven by an infected will smash through the wall. Shoot the zombie inside the cab until the vehicle loses control, then leave the Garage. From this point onward, some infected enemies you previously killed can mutate into Blister Heads. To prevent the transformation entirely, destroy the head completely or use a Hemolytic Injector.
Where to Find the Artificial Heart
With the Wrench, head to the Cold Storage near the West Wing staircase. Use the tool on the door and enter. The Artificial Heart is hanging from one of the hooks. You now have both organs required for the body in the Examination Room.
How to Get the ID Wristband (Level 2)
Return to the Examination Room and place the Artificial Lungs and Artificial Heart into the body on the table. The infected patient comes back to life. Kill it, then inspect the body and take the ID Wristband (Level 2) from its arm. You can use it to unlock the Isolation Ward.Image unavailable
How to Reach the Star Quartz
Go through the Isolation Ward and enter the Head of Security's Office. Examine the notebook on the desk and the puzzle box.The combination is written in the note:
Star → Star → Moon → Sun.
The problem is that the symbols on the puzzle box itself are written in Braille. Grace cannot enter the combination on her own. After examining the box, you receive the ID Wristband (Level 3). Return to the Medication Room and free Emily.
How to Bring Emily to the Puzzle Box
Grace cannot use weapons while carrying Emily. It is therefore safer to leave the girl on the couch in the Guard Office and clear the route to the Head of Security's Office by yourself first. Then return for Emily and carry her to the puzzle box.Your new friend lends a handYour new friend lends a handEmily begins reading the Braille while Grace has to defend the corridor from infected enemies. You do not need to kill every single one. You only have to survive until Emily says she is finished. Once she does, return to her. Emily retrieves the Star Quartz, but almost immediately The Girl smashes through the wall, grabs the child, and drags her down below. Follow the monster and jump through the newly opened hole.Emily is taken awayEmily is taken away
Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center — Leon: Attic and Victor's Office
After the next character switch, Leon finds himself in the Medication Storage area following his conversation with Victor. Your main objective is to reach the director's office.
How to Defeat Chunk in the Attic
Continue toward the Attic while collecting Green Herbs and ammunition. Another Chunk is waiting here, and the MSBG 500 Shotgun is lying right beside him. While the enemy is occupied, search the area and collect additional shells. Some ammunition is on the upper level, which you can reach by climbing the marked crate. Once you are ready, pick up the MSBG 500.The shotgun makes this fight much easierThe shotgun makes this fight much easierAfter defeating Chunk, pick up the Hand Grenade he drops.
Where to Find the Compensator
Leave the Attic and continue along the corridor. Leon can pry open deformed lockers with his Hatchet, unlike Grace. The first one contains a Compensator. Attach it to the Alligator Snapper to reduce muzzle rise. There is also a note containing the code to the Basement safe, which will be useful later. Continue onward and descend into the Chairman's Office.Keep the safe code for laterKeep the safe code for later
How to Reach Victor's Office
From the Chairman's Office, move through the Gallery and Bar & Lounge toward the next staircase. You can open the other deformed lockers along the way. The Storage Room contains the Connoisseur charm, which increases the firepower of the equipped weapon. Keep in mind that the game remembers which infected enemies Grace left alive. Because of this, the exact enemy layout during Leon's return can vary. Go up to the third floor and break through the door with the Hatchet.
How to Open the Secret Passage in Victor's Office
There are numerous bodies inside, and many of them will soon come back to life. Collect the supplies and eliminate the infected. Continue until you find a painting on the wall. Examine it to reveal a hidden lever. Pull it. The secret passage begins to open, but the mechanism stops about halfway and another group of infected rushes into the room. Use the MSBG 500, Hand Grenades, and whatever ammunition you have saved. Once the mechanism finishes moving, go through the secret passage to the elevator.
Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center Basement — Grace
Grace reaches the Basement after Emily is abducted. Your main objective is to find the girl and restore power to the Holding Cells. This section revolves around moving Joint Plugs between Power Distributors while avoiding The Girl.
How to Find Emily
Follow the tunnel and pick up the document near the body along the way. Farther ahead, you will see a broken elevator and several locked rooms. Enter the Security Room, save your game, and check the surveillance monitors. You can see Emily on one of the screens. Then head toward the Furnace, the central area of the Basement, and continue from there to the Holding Cells. Emily is at the far end of the hallway, but her cell is locked. To open it, you need to restore power using three Joint Plugs.
How to Get the First Joint Plug
The first plug is already installed in the Power Distributor near the Holding Cells. As soon as you remove it, The Girl appears again. In the dark, she can freely move through the ceiling. Wait inside one of the cells until she moves away, then continue.Image unavailableCarry the first Joint Plug to the Power Distributor near the Furnace and insert it. The lights will come on and force The Girl to retreat.
How to Get the Second Joint Plug
Once the lights are on, you gain access to the next maintenance area. Deal with the infected and find the second Joint Plug installed in another Power Distributor. Remove it. The lights will immediately go out, so head straight for the ventilation passage. Crawl through the duct. One of the infected crawling toward Grace will be pulled away by The Girl. The ventilation shaft leads into the Workshop. Collect the supplies and make your way back toward the Holding Cells.Image unavailable
Where to Find the Square Socket Wrench
You now need to reach the Boiler Room. Carry one of the Joint Plugs to the Power Distributor in the starting section of the Basement, open the route, and continue. Move the crate blocking the damaged section of fencing and crawl through the opening. In the Boiler Room, find the toolbox. Inside is the Square Socket Wrench. The Girl appears afterward. Draw her attention, circle around the central structure, and return through the hole in the fence.Image unavailable
How to Get the Forklift Key
Return through the Furnace to the Collection Pool. Deal with the infected lying near the Power Distributor while the lights are still on. Use the Square Socket Wrench to open the distributor cover and insert two Joint Plugs. Restoring power opens the route ahead. The metal bridge collapses. Crawl beneath the large fan and climb the ladder into Processing. The third Joint Plug is already here, but do not remove it yet. Cutting the power now would block the way out. The Forklift Key lies next to the body near the forklift. Use it on the machine to access an additional room containing supplies and a Hip Pouch.
How to Reach the Third Joint Plug
Go back and remove the two plugs from the previous Power Distributor. You now need to reach the Inspection area again from the opposite side. The easiest route is through the Workshop and ventilation passages, which helps you avoid being trapped with The Girl in narrow hallways. Once you reach the required distributor, insert a plug. The lights come on and force the monster away again. Use the Forklift Key on the vehicle near the passage and clear the path. The next section contains hanging bodies.Image unavailable
How to Get Through the Hanging Body Conveyor
There is a lever near the entrance that reverses the direction of the conveyor. Do not touch it yet. Wait for a large gap between the hanging bodies and step into the opening. Move with the conveyor and avoid getting too close to the infected corpses. Near the end of the first section, one of the bodies comes to life. Deal with it, then move the cart near the shelves to create a shortcut back to the lever. Now reverse the conveyor. Find another large gap and move with the hanging bodies toward the opposite side of the room. This brings you into Processing.
How to Survive Processing
Save your game and collect the available supplies before continuing. Turn the mechanism to drain the contents of the central container, then climb down the newly exposed ladder onto the conveyor. A few seconds later, the grinder starts. You do not need to kill every infected enemy yourself. The conveyor constantly pulls them toward the machine, so focus on shooting their legs. Once staggered, they will fall and be dragged into the grinder. Stay as far away from the dangerous end of the mechanism as possible and keep moving until the system announces that the process is complete.Image unavailable
How to Take the Third Joint Plug
Climb the ladder and remove the third Joint Plug. Head toward the stopped fan near the Typewriter and crawl beneath it. Grace falls through the floor and lands back in the Collection Pool. Activate the switch to drain the blood. If necessary, collect Infected Blood with the Blood Collector and craft supplies. Use the elevator to return to the upper level. Now retrieve the previous two Joint Plugs as well. You should end up with all three in your inventory.
How to Rescue Emily and Escape the Basement
Return to the Holding Cells and insert all three Joint Plugs into the Power Distributor. After the scene, Emily's cell opens, but several infected prisoners are released as well. Pick up the girl and immediately run back through the Furnace toward the elevator near the beginning of the area. A wooden pallet inside the elevator prevents the doors from closing. Push it out of the way while the infected approach. The elevator begins ascending, but The Girl breaks through the ceiling. Continue following the on-screen prompts and force open the elevator doors when prompted. After the scene, Emily gives Grace the Star Quartz.
Where to Find the Severed Hand
After reaching the upper floor, return to the elevator. The Severed Hand belonging to The Girl is lying nearby. It is not required for the main story, but it is connected to The Final Puzzle and can be examined later. Pick it up now if you intend to solve the optional puzzle.Image unavailable
Courtyard and Research Facility — Grace
Return to the Item Box and take out the Moon Quartz and Sun Quartz. Together with the Star Quartz, you now have the full set. Pick Emily up and approach the door in the Central Hall. Insert all three Quartz pieces and head outside into the Courtyard.Go down the steps and continue toward the Helipad. Grace meets a pilot named Harry here. His injured leg prevents him from retrieving the helicopter key himself, so you will have to enter the nearby building. You can leave Emily with Harry in the helicopter.
How to Solve the VIP Suite Puzzle
You can find an Hourglass in the room. It is not required for the current story puzzle, but it is connected to The Final Puzzle, so pick it up if you plan to complete that later. The key item for progression is hidden inside a wine bottle.Examine the bottle and rotate its upper half until both parts of the label line up. Then pull the bottle apart and remove the Double Helix Model. Approach the central mechanism and insert the Double Helix Model into the missing section. The VIP Suite is actually a concealed elevator and lowers Grace into the Research Facility.Image unavailable
Where to Find the Helicopter Key
At the bottom, enter the Reception area. You can save here and collect supplies. Continue down into Collection & Testing. The large chamber contains pods filled with infected patients and a huge reservoir of blood. While the enemies are still inactive, note the locations of the wall-mounted Disposal Tanks. You will need them shortly.Cross to the opposite side of the facility, climb the stairs, and enter the Private Lab. The Helicopter Key is on the desk near the surveillance system. Take it and interact with the monitor. Press the authorization button to unlock the neighboring door.Helicopter Key on the deskHelicopter Key on the desk
How to Escape the Research Facility
A story scene begins as you leave, and Victor triggers an emergency inside the facility. The elevator you used earlier is no longer available, so you need to find another way out. Return to Collection & Testing. The infected patients that were previously inside the pods are now roaming the room. Take a Disposal Tank from the wall. The Disposal Tank makes this section easierThe Disposal Tank makes this section easierSpraying infected enemies quickly staggers them and eventually kills them. Additional tanks can be found along the route if one runs out. However, most enemies can simply be avoided.Move through the laboratory toward the open double doors marked as the exit. Follow the linear path through the blood-soaked rooms. In one corridor, several infected begin transforming into Blister Heads at once, so do not stop. Keep climbing. Eventually, a staircase leads to the emergency exit on the surface.Head down toward the Helipad, avoid the infected emerging from the grass, climb through the window back into the building, and exit toward the helicopter.
Chapel — Leon
After the crash, control switches to Leon. He now has the Classic 70 rifle and needs to cover Grace from long range. Move across the roof toward the sniper position and collect ammunition along the way.
How to Cover Grace with the Rifle
From the balcony, you have a clear view of the path leading to the Chapel. Shoot the infected enemies approaching Grace, prioritizing accurate headshots. Reload between waves whenever possible. The Classic 70 takes a long time to fully reload, but the animation can be interrupted after loading one or more rounds. Pay particular attention to the Chef, who appears during one of the final waves. If he reaches Grace, the sequence fails.Covering GraceCovering GraceUse the red explosive canister near the route once the Chef and several other infected gather around it. After Grace makes it inside the Chapel, Leon climbs down from the roof.
How to Defeat the Blister Borne in the Chapel
Head toward the helicopter wreckage. Along the way, you can pick up a red explosive canister, throw it into a group of infected, and shoot it. Collect ammunition near the wreckage and continue toward the Chapel entrance. Another attack begins after Leon reunites with Grace and Emily.
How to Defeat the Blister Borne in the Chapel
The main threat is the Blister Borne, a large secondary mutation covered in several enormous pulsating blisters. Focus your fire on these growths. Destroying each one deals heavy damage and briefly staggers the monster. The problem is that bursting a blister releases infectious material that can rapidly transform nearby regular zombies into Blister Heads.Shoot the blistersShoot the blistersDo not stay in one place. Use the altar as an obstacle and constantly reposition. Additional supplies, a Hand Grenade, and a red explosive canister can be found on the upper level. Use explosives when several infected gather around the boss. If regular enemies drop fire axes, pick them up and throw them at your targets. Destroy each of the Blister Borne's growths. Once the final one bursts, the boss dies and Leon continues after Grace.
Rhodes Hill Water Treatment Plant — Grace
After escaping the Chapel, Grace and Emily reach the Water Treatment Plant. Follow the route to the upper level. There is a green control button for the roof hatch here, but the hatch cannot be opened properly yet. Carry Emily into the safe Storage Bay and lay her down. There is a Typewriter and supplies inside. Make sure to take the Requiem revolver and all available ammunition for it. During the next section, you will primarily use the weapon to stun The Girl.
How to Open the Roof Hatch
Return to the green button and activate the mechanism. The hatch starts opening, but stops almost immediately and closes again. To restore the system, you need to restart three Power Distribution Units on the lower level. The Girl begins hunting Grace again. One Requiem shot can stun her for a long time, while spotlights and the illuminated areas created by activating the Power Distribution Units serve as safe zones. The Girl cannot stand bright lightThe Girl cannot stand bright light
How to Restart Power Distribution Unit 1
After going downstairs, continue until The Girl appears, then retreat and wait for her to move away. Sneak into the Storage Area on the lower level. Find the spotlight and turn it on to temporarily block The Girl's route. The first Power Distribution Unit is nearby. Turn the mechanism on the console.Once activated, permanent lighting comes on in this part of the facility and The Girl can no longer freely remain inside.
Where to Find the Crank Lever and Restart Power Distribution Unit 2
Your next destination is the Control Room, but its Power Distribution Unit is missing a Crank Lever. Enter the nearby Filing Room and find the required item on a shelf. Pick up the Crank Lever and return to the distributor. As you try to start it, The Girl suddenly crashes through the window and knocks Grace away. Immediately fire the Requiem to stun the monster, insert the Crank Lever, and activate the second Power Distribution Unit.
How to Restart Power Distribution Unit 3
The final unit is in Chemical Treatment. Wait until The Girl moves away from the central area, then circle around and reach the console. Try to turn the mechanism, but it will jam. The Girl drops down directly beside Grace. Stun her with a Requiem shot or Molotov Cocktail, then return to the console and hold the interaction button until Power Distribution Unit 3 is fully activated. Power to the lower level is now completely restored.
How to Defeat The Girl
Return to the elevator and ride back to the upper floor. The green roof hatch control now works again. The Girl will try to stop you, so stun her with another Requiem shot if necessary and immediately run to the panel. Activate the roof hatch controls. This time, the hatch opens completely and sunlight floods the room. The Girl is caught directly beneath it and begins taking damage. Once control returns to Grace, you do not need to attack her. Simply wait and the sunlight will kill the monster.
What Happens to Emily
After the fight, return to Emily in the safe room. Grace initially believes the child is dead, but Emily's body soon begins transforming into a massive biological form. Leon appears shortly afterward. When control switches to him, shoot the creature's exposed heart. If you do not want to fire yourself, you can simply wait for the scene to continue and Leon will do it automatically. After the following story sequence, the Rhodes Hill section ends and Leon continues toward the ruins of Raccoon City.
East Raccoon City — Leon
After the events at Rhodes Hill, control fully shifts to Leon. Ahead is a large section of East Raccoon City where you need to defeat the Titan Spinner, unlock the BSAA Central Camp, and collect the three parts required for the Detonator: the Distributor, Signal Receiver, and Relay. At the beginning of the area, the Report on the Raccoon City Incident is automatically added to your Files. A little farther down the road, you can pick up the Raccoon City Incident Newspaper. If you are collecting everything, check Cafe Oasis near The Applegate Hotel. A Mr. Raccoon is hidden behind the counter. The hotel itself also contains useful supplies.
How to Defeat the Titan Spinner
Go through The Applegate Hotel and exit onto the next street. Leon is soon attacked by the Titan Spinner, a huge mutated spider. The first part of the encounter is a chase. Run through the corridors, cut through webs with the Hatchet, and collect supplies from crates. Whenever the Titan Spinner blocks your route, fire several shots to force it back. Small spiders appear in one of the rooms. Do not waste powerful ammunition on them. A shotgun blast or a few Hatchet strikes are enough. Keep climbing until Leon reaches an open arena, where the actual boss fight begins. The Titan Spinner's main weak point is the large orange growth on the rear of its abdomen. Try to circle around the side or behind the boss and shoot the weak spot directly. Its front-leg attacks can be parried with the Hatchet. There are also red explosive canisters around the arena and ladders leading to the upper level. Use the elevation changes to create distance and line up shots at the weak point. If the fight drags on, small spiders will spawn. Kill them quickly so they cannot immobilize Leon at the worst possible moment. After taking enough damage, the Titan Spinner pins Leon against a wall. Complete the on-screen prompt and Leon finishes the creature with his Hatchet before falling down with it.You soon arrive at Ridgewood Station. Follow the only available route until you return to the surface.
How to Unlock the BSAA Central Camp
Continue forward until you reach the massive gate blocking the route into central Raccoon City. Explosives are already attached to it, but the Detonator is incomplete. The BSAA Central Camp is on the left, marked by a large blue tent. Start the generator beside the camp. This powers the save laptop inside the tent and activates the Supply Box. The Orders for the Engineer Corps file is on the table. The document explains that the Detonator requires three components:
Signal Receiver;
Distributor;
Relay.
After reading the document, their approximate locations are marked on the map. Pick up the Tactical Tracker from the top of the Supply Box. From this point onward, killing enemies earns Leon credits that can be spent on new weapons, armor, inventory upgrades, and other equipment. Before continuing, it is worth buying at least the first Body Armor upgrade or increasing the size of your case. The number of infected enemies increases significantly later.
Where to Find the Distributor
The Distributor is the easiest component to collect first. Behind the Central Camp, press the red button to raise the shutter and enter the Logistics Warehouse. Move between the shelving units. Infected enemies soon begin crawling out from beneath the floor. Fight them or use the vertical layout to your advantage.Look toward the upper section of the warehouse and shoot the yellow attachment supporting the suspended cargo. This creates a way to climb higher and continue along the shelves. The Cedarbrook Apartments Key is hanging inside one of the upper rooms. Make sure to take it, as you will need it for the next section.Continue to the roof. There is a generator here that needs fuel. Leave it alone for now and climb higher. Find the yellow crate and open it to obtain the Distributor, the first of the three Detonator components. Leon then uses binoculars. Examine the marked points in the distance, including your next destinations and the Gas Station that you will need to visit later.
How to Enter Cedarbrook Apartments
Return to ground level and use the Cedarbrook Apartments Key on the gate near the Central Camp. Go through the alley and descend into the Underground Parking Garage. A gate soon blocks your path, but it has no power. You need two Batteries to open it.
Where to Find the First Battery
Go up the stairs near the gate and drop into the flooded section of the Underground Parking Garage. There are numerous infected in the water and inside the vehicles, so look around carefully before moving forward. Some cars can be used as passages between different parts of the garage.Find the room in the northwestern part of the area, which is easy to identify by its green lighting. Eliminate the nearby enemies and go inside. Remove the first Battery from the wall panel. The Gal submachine gun is also here. It has a large magazine but relatively poor accuracy, making it especially useful against groups of infected at close range. Return to the locked gate and install the first Battery in the wall panel.
Where to Find the Second Battery
Go through the blue door near the flooded parking area and continue toward the treatment section. Climb down through the hatch and reach the large room with two circular tanks. Find the Valve Handwheel below and pick it up. Several infected enemies appear afterward.Insert the Valve Handwheel into the mechanism near the barrier. As soon as you try to turn it, a Blister Borne appears along with several regular enemies. Use the same strategy as in the Chapel: destroy the large growths on its body. The Gal, shotgun, and nearby explosives are especially effective here. After clearing the room, turn the Valve Handwheel all the way and continue. Go up into the room on the opposite side and remove the second Battery from the wall panel. Return to the Underground Parking Garage and install it beside the first one. The gate opens.
How to Get the BSAA Container Key
A story scene begins after you return to the street. Leon sees the aftermath of the attack on the BSAA troops and a recording involving Zeno. Once the scene ends, you automatically receive the BSAA Container Key. The open BSAA Container 01 is nearby. Inside are supplies and the Inventory List, which tells you what can be found in the other containers.Opening every container is optional, but BSAA Container 02 at the Central Camp will be important later because it contains the Repair Kit and a motorcycle. Other containers hold valuable supplies and weapons, including the Marksman 1A rifle.
Where to Find the Rusty Crank
Return to Cedarbrook Apartments and enter through the main entrance. Climb until you reach a mechanism with a missing crank. You cannot pass through here yet. Enter the open door nearby and drop down through the damaged railing. This is where you first encounter infected BSAA soldiers.Unlike regular zombies, they retain some ability to use weapons and can fire pistols and automatic rifles. Avoid prolonged firefights in the open. Eliminate them and locate the mechanism with the Rusty Crank. Activate it. The Rusty Crank remains in Leon's inventory after the interaction. Return upstairs and insert it into the mechanism blocking the route.
Where to Find the Broken Signal Receiver
Continue climbing through Cedarbrook Apartments and reach the roof. Infected BSAA soldiers use mortars here. A few direct hits can kill Leon very quickly, so avoid standing in exposed areas.Use cover and your rifle to take out the mortar crews from a distance. Once you reach one of the mortars, you can use it yourself against the remaining infected soldiers. Continue across the rooftops toward the northern side of the area. A yellow crate sits near one of the mortar positions. Open it to obtain the Broken Signal Receiver. The Engineer Corps Note is nearby and explicitly states that the component requires the Repair Kit from Container 02 at the Central Camp.
How to Repair the Signal Receiver
Return to the BSAA Central Camp. Use the BSAA Container Key on Container 02 beside the tent. Inside are the motorcycle and Repair Kit. Open your inventory and use the Repair Kit on the Broken Signal Receiver. This turns it into a working Signal Receiver. Leon now has two of the three Detonator components.
Where to Find Fuel for the Generator
To reach the final component, you need to start the generator on the Logistics Warehouse roof. Head to the Gas Station. Once you reach the marked area, find the ladder secured by a yellow attachment and shoot it down. Climb up and enter the station grounds. The Gas Can is inside the building. Take it to the large fuel tank behind the station. Turn the valve and fill the can.Several infected appear on the way back, including a chainsaw enemy. Kill him and you can pick up the Chainsaw and temporarily use it against the remaining enemies. Once the area is clear, fuel the Gas Station's generator to open a shortcut back to the road. Now return to the generator on the Logistics Warehouse roof and pour in the remaining fuel. Starting it opens a new route and activates the zipline leading toward Willis Tower.
How to Find the Relay in Willis Tower
Ride the zipline and enter the ruined Willis Tower. This section is built around climbing through the wreckage. Watch for wooden boards and structures with yellow markings. They need to be broken or shot down to create new routes. At one point, you need to move through an elevator shaft. Once Leon enters, first move left to avoid a falling elevator car, then move right to avoid the next one. Continue climbing until you reach an inverted section of the building with a glass floor. Infected BSAA soldiers appear here. You do not necessarily need to shoot every enemy directly. Fire into the glass beneath them and they will fall through. The same trick is used to lower large wooden structures supporting platforms. Break the glass beneath one of them to create the next route upward.Continue climbing toward the antenna and find the yellow crate containing the Relay. Combine the Relay with the Distributor and repaired Signal Receiver. Leon does this automatically once all three parts are in your inventory.
How to Descend Through the Grimstone Building
After obtaining the Relay, you need to return to the Central Camp through the ruined Grimstone Building. Save at the laptop and use the Supply Box before beginning the descent. A long combat sequence lies ahead.Continue through the building until you reach a large lift platform held by two mechanisms. Both sides need to be lowered. Fight your way to the first Valve Handwheel and turn it. Then descend on the opposite side and head for the second mechanism. Numerous infected enemies appear along the way, including Blister Heads and chainsaw-wielding enemies.Turn the second Valve Handwheel and return to the platform. Step onto it and activate the descent. The lift soon jams and infected enemies begin jumping onto the platform. Hold them off until the cables finally snap. After the fall, continue through the lower floor and sewer passages until you emerge back on the surface near the gate.
How to Use the Detonator
Return to the gate blocking the route into central Raccoon City. Attach the completed Detonator to the prepared explosives and activate it. After the cutscene, the route opens. Leon also finally uses the motorcycle from BSAA Container 02.
How to Complete the Motorcycle Chase
The next section is a high-speed chase through the ruined city. Once shooting becomes available, your ammunition is unlimited. The main enemies are Garm, large mutated dogs capable of catching up to the motorcycle and leaping at Leon.Shoot the closest Garm before they have a chance to attack. Victor Gideon eventually appears with a rocket launcher. Keep moving and fire at him whenever the game gives Leon control of his weapon. Watch the route ahead and move toward the open sections of road. In some places, you can shoot red explosive canisters to clear obstacles and eliminate pursuing enemies. The final part of the chase becomes a motorcycle duel between Leon and Victor. After the sequence ends, East Raccoon City is behind you and your next major destination is the Raccoon City Police Department.
Raccoon City Center — Leon: Police Station
After the motorcycle chase, Leon finally reaches central Raccoon City. Your main objective is to find Grace, but before continuing, search the ruins around the starting area. Another Mr. Raccoon can be found near the crashed fuel tanker.Follow the alley until you see the familiar Raccoon City Police Department. Leon has not been here in almost thirty years, so entering the building triggers a brief memory of his first day on the force and his meeting with Marvin Branagh. The BSAA has set up a temporary command post in the Main Hall. There is a save laptop and Supply Box here. Before continuing, make sure to read the Perimeter Security Report near the crates. It reveals that useful supplies were left in the S.T.A.R.S. Office, Underground Parking Garage, and Kendo Gun Shop.
What to Find in the West Side of the Police Station
Start by going through the open door to the left of the Main Hall. This leads into the old West Office. You can examine the desks of former R.P.D. officers, including Marvin's desk and Leon's old workstation.A locked cabinet is located at the far end of the office. You cannot open it yet. It is connected to the optional Barry's Trophy Hunt, which can be started later in the S.T.A.R.S. Office. Leave through the rear door and continue along the corridor. After encountering an old infected police officer, find the ladder that can be shot down. Climb up to the second floor.
Where to Find the Mechanic Jack
Enter the Library on the second floor and pick up the Mechanic Jack. You need this tool to open the shutters in the Main Hall. Another Mr. Raccoon is hidden in the Library. Crouch near the central bookcase and inspect the lower shelves. You can now head toward the S.T.A.R.S. Office.
What to Find in the S.T.A.R.S. Office
This area is almost entirely built around references to earlier Resident Evil games. You can inspect belongings left by former team members, including Rebecca's medical bag, Chris's clothing, and Jill's beret. Two optional puzzles also begin here: Barry's Trophy Hunt and the case puzzle in the S.T.A.R.S. Armory.Neither activity is required for the main story, so you can return later if you prefer. The case in the Armory requires a separate code and contains a useful reward, while Barry's chain eventually awards the S.T.A.R.S. Emblem charm. Once you are done exploring the office, return to the first floor.
How to Open the Passages in the Main Hall
Follow the hallway to the Operations Room. You can read another document about the 1998 incident here and find a Mr. Raccoon hidden beneath boards and rubble. Return to the Main Hall and use the Mechanic Jack on the closed shutters. This opens a convenient route between different sections of the station. Save your game and head into the East Wing, where Grace is located. After the story scene, control switches to her.
Raccoon City Orphanage — Grace
The story suddenly moves into the past for a while, with Grace as a child inside the Raccoon City Orphanage. After waking up, look around the bedroom and head into the hallway. Follow the corridor to the partially open door. Inside, five children with red eyes and signs of surgical procedures surround a doctor. After the scene, they notice Grace and begin following her.
How to Hide from the Children
Immediately run back to the bedroom. You can crawl beneath the bed in the far-right corner. Hide there and wait until the children search the room and leave after hearing a scream. Crawl out, return to the doctor's body, and squeeze through the opening on the left. Open the door leading into the main section of the Orphanage.Go down the stairs. The children soon smash through the windows above and start searching for Grace again. On the lower floor, find the large table near the toys and hide underneath it. Wait for the children to jump down and leave through the next door, then follow them.
Where to Find the Hatch Key
Two children block the next corridor. Do not approach them! When one starts moving toward you, return to the table and hide again. The route eventually clears. Continue into the office and find the locked hatch. You need a key. There is a dresser near the desk with the lamp. Pull out the lower drawer and use it as a step to climb onto the furniture. The Hatch Key is on top. When Grace climbs back down, she falls and attracts the children's attention. Hide behind the boxes to the right of the dresser and wait until they leave. Then return to the hatch, unlock it, and quickly climb down.
How to Get Through the Underground Chapel
Follow the tunnel after descending. You soon enter a large Underground Chapel filled with Umbrella imagery. There is a ladder at the far end, but it hangs too high to reach. Turn around and find the wall lever. Pull it to open the door near the Chapel entrance, then go through.A Fire Poker is behind the bars, but it cannot be reached normally. There are several coffins on the right. Pull out the lower coffin to complete an improvised set of steps, climb up, and cross over the railing. Pick up the Fire Poker, unlock the door from this side, and return to the hanging ladder. The children appear again along the way, but you do not need to fight them. Just run past.Use the Fire Poker to pull the ladder down and climb up.
How to Get Through the Umbrella Laboratory
At the top, Grace enters a hidden Umbrella laboratory. There are no difficult puzzles or combat encounters here. Simply follow the corridors and read the documents. Pay particular attention to the researchers' records, as this section reveals important details about the experiments performed on the children at the Orphanage. Continue until the story scene begins. The flashback ends afterward and control returns to Leon.
Raccoon City Police Department — Leon: Escaping the Tyrant
Immediately after returning to the present, an old threat appears: Tyrant T-501, visually almost identical to Mr. X from Resident Evil 2. You cannot defeat him at this stage. Your only goal is to escape.
How to Escape Tyrant T-501
Turn around and sprint back down the corridor. The Tyrant smashes through walls and tries to intercept Leon. Whenever he appears directly in front of you, do not try to squeeze past him. Turn around and use another route. In one room, the Tyrant breaks through a wall using a large piece of metal. Do not keep running forward or Leon will move directly into the attack. Turn around again and retreat. Continue circling around the enemy until the route brings you to the Main Hall balcony. A scene begins when you return to the central part of the station and the Tyrant disappears. When you are ready, leave through the ruined section of the upper floor.
Raccoon City Center — Leon: Kendo Gun Shop
After leaving the Police Station, do not immediately follow the main route. Turn left and head down into the Underground Parking Garage first. Additional BSAA supplies can be found here, including a Med Injector and Tracking Module. The Cute Bear charm is near the van that crashed into the wall. It increases shotgun damage at medium range. You can also find an optic for the Classic 70. Once you are finished with the garage, return to the street.
Where to Find the W870 Police Shotgun
Cross the road and enter Kendo Gun Shop. After a short scene, Leon remembers Robert Kendo and the events of Resident Evil 2. Check the shelves near the open door. The W870 Police Shotgun is lying there. Make sure to take it. It deals heavy damage at close and medium range and will be extremely useful in the upcoming battle. Another Mr. Raccoon can also be found behind the shop. Save at the BSAA laptop near the supplies before continuing.
Raccoon City Center — Leon: Tyrant T-501
T-501 appears again on the way to the Orphanage. This time you will not be running away. The Tyrant removes his coat and transforms into a much more dangerous form.
How to Defeat Tyrant T-501
The boss's primary weak point is the exposed heart on his chest. Use your strongest weapons: the W870 Police, Gal, Hand Grenades, Requiem, and rifles. The Tyrant attacks with his enormous arm. Some attacks can be parried with the Hatchet. A successful parry briefly turns the enemy away or knocks him off balance, giving you a chance to deal extra damage.Keep shooting the heart. After a while, T-501 begins leaping onto cars and attacking Leon from above. Whenever he jumps onto a vehicle, move away immediately. Create distance and shoot him with the rifle or Requiem whenever possible.Later, the Tyrant starts throwing cars. Watch his movements and reposition as soon as he lifts one. After taking enough damage, the boss drops to one knee. Run up and strike the heart with the Hatchet. One such attack is not enough, so keep fighting. Repeat the cycle until T-501 finally dies.
Raccoon City Orphanage and Blackthorn Station — Leon
After defeating the Tyrant, move through the buses near the basketball court and reach the Orphanage. The building itself has little left to explore. The main route leads down through a collapsed passage, eventually bringing you to Blackthorn Station and the ruined subway tunnels.
How to Get Through the Wrecked Train Cars
Move through the remains of train cars hanging over a huge chasm. Mutated plants soon begin appearing. Their long tendrils can grab Leon while he is moving. Shoot the open mouths at the ends of the vines. A few accurate shots are enough to make the plant retreat. Continue through the train cars and collect supplies. At the end of the route is a rope left behind by the BSAA. Use it to descend underground.
How to Get Through the Underground Tunnels
The next area is filled with tendrils belonging to Specimen 43. Watch not only the plants ahead but also the growths along the floor and ceiling, as they can suddenly grab Leon. Their main weak point remains the opening mouth. Individual attacks can be parried with the Hatchet, but it is safer to destroy them from a distance. The route is almost entirely linear. There are plenty of supplies along the way, so restock before the upcoming boss fight.
Underground Complex — Leon: Specimen 43
A massive mutated plant called Specimen 43 blocks the route at the end of the tunnels. The boss has a central flower and two huge tendrils used to attack Leon.
How to Defeat Specimen 43
Your main target is the flower in the center. Wait until it opens and fire into it with your strongest available weapon. At the same time, watch the two large tendrils. They alternately sweep across the arena, so keep moving between attacks. If a tendril is preventing you from getting a clean shot, damage it as well. After taking enough damage, Specimen 43 begins thrashing and spraying infected fluid around the arena. There are red explosive barrels behind the plant. Use them to deal a large amount of additional damage. Keep attacking the central flower until Specimen 43 is destroyed. The route forward opens afterward.
ARK — Leon
After defeating Specimen 43, Leon finally reaches the ARK complex. You need to find Grace and fight your way toward the PANDORA Central Purification System. Go through the green doors. At the first junction, the Staff Room is on the left, containing a save laptop, Supply Box, and Med Injector. You can also read the N0-AH Status Report here. Before continuing, organize your main weapons and buy whatever upgrades you still need. There is not much of the game left, so there is little reason to keep hoarding credits and powerful ammunition. You can see Lickers inside tanks in the corridor opposite the Staff Room. Another Mr. Raccoon is hidden nearby.Continue through the Server Room. In the room with the large display, Leon identifies Grace's location, but a new enemy type appears almost immediately: Elite Guards.
How to Defeat the Elite Guards
Unlike most enemies in the game, these are ordinary armed humans. They use automatic weapons, wear strong armor, and can kill Leon extremely quickly if he stays exposed. Do not try to trade shots with them in the middle of the room. Use the server racks and large containers as cover and eliminate the guards one by one.Special gas canisters are placed throughout the room. Shoot them to release clouds of gas and conceal your position. Rifles and Hand Grenades work especially well here. Aim for headshots whenever an enemy leans out from cover. After the first group, go through the newly opened door. Several more guards fire from the opposite side of the next room. Stay behind the large container at first, then climb onto the upper walkway.More soldiers arrive afterward, including one carrying a shield. If the fight becomes too difficult, break one of the tanks holding a Licker. The released bioweapon attacks the nearest humans, allowing Leon to deal with the guards while they are distracted. After the fight, collect the ammunition they drop and unlock the shortcut back to the Staff Room.
How to Defeat the Commander (HUNK)
Continue through the corridor lined with statues and explore the Guest Area. Several terminals here contain documents related to bioweapon research and sales. Continue until a scene introduces the Commander of the Elite Guards.Firearms are not especially effective in this fight because the enemy moves extremely quickly and can dodge gunfire. Parrying is the core mechanic. Wait for an attack and block it with Leon's Hatchet, then immediately counterattack. Do not commit to a long combo. The Commander recovers quickly and punishes excessive attacks, so use a simple pattern: parry → one or two hits → defend again.Later, the enemy starts combining multiple attacks into longer chains, uses flash grenades, and damages pipes to fill the arena with smoke. If the Commander creates distance, close the gap quickly or he will switch to firearms.Keep parrying and counterattacking until you win. Make sure to pick up his Mortal Edge afterward. It is an improved melee weapon with a more forgiving parry window. Climb the stairs and continue. Control switches to Grace after the next story scene.
ARK — Grace
Follow Leon through the technical section of the complex. A large obstruction soon blocks the route and needs to be moved with a crane. Continue through the debris until you reach a high opening. Interact with it and Leon boosts Grace up. Crawl through the ventilation shaft and kick out the grate at the end. The crane control terminal is below, but the system requires an Override Key.
How to Get the Override Key
Go up the stairs. There is a safe area nearby with a Typewriter and a locked door that requires another key. Go through the green door toward the Sterilization Chamber. This is where you first encounter a Licker.Lickers are blind and primarily react to sound. Move slowly and do not run near them. If one is not directly blocking your route, it is far more efficient to simply sneak past. Continue through the Sterilization Chamber into Bioweapon Repository 02. Another Licker waits in the corridor before Chemical Storage. Throw an Empty Bottle away from the route you need to take and use the noise to distract it.The first Bottle of Acid is on a table inside Chemical Storage. Avoid starting a noisy gunfight with the regular infected while Lickers are still nearby. Instead, lure the creatures together with an Empty Bottle, then throw the Bottle of Acid. One accurate hit is usually enough to kill a Licker. If two are standing close together, the acid can damage both. Return to Chemical Storage afterward and deal with the regular infected. The Override Key is in the far section of the room.
How to Help Leon and Get the Magnetic Key
Return to the crane control terminal. Another Licker appears on the way back, but you can carefully sneak past it. Insert the Override Key into the terminal and activate the crane. The obstruction is removed, allowing Leon to continue. After the scene, turn around. The wall compartment that was previously locked is now open. Take the Magnetic Key. It opens the red-locked doors throughout the ARK laboratory.
Where to Find the Animus Orb
First, return to Bioweapon Repository 02. A locked door leading to the Cleanroom is at the far end. Use the Magnetic Key. Open the red case inside and take the Animus Orb, then return toward the entrance to the laboratory.
Where to Find the Bottle of Acid Recipe
Use the Magnetic Key on the red door near the Typewriter. Enter the Monitor Control Room in the next area. You can save here and also find the Bottle of Acid crafting recipe. From this point onward, Infected Blood and Empty Bottles can be used to make acid. Try to craft several because there are numerous Lickers ahead. Continue through the Anteroom and descend into Bioweapon Repository 05.
How to Get Through Bioweapon Repository 05
This is a large room filled with cargo containers and several Lickers. Containers are opened using the white buttons beside their doors. Inside are ammunition, blood, Empty Bottles, and other useful supplies. One also contains a Hip Pouch. It is worth eliminating at least most of the Lickers before thoroughly exploring the room. Use Empty Bottles to lure two enemies close together, then throw acid at them. This saves a significant amount of resources. Once the area is clear, climb the staircase at the far end. The Operations Room with a Typewriter is upstairs.
Where to Find the Noblesse Orb
Check the red case in the Operations Room and take the Noblesse Orb. If you still have crafting materials, make a few more Bottles of Acid before leaving. Climb out through the window onto the upper walkway of Bioweapon Repository 05. Several more Lickers are here. You can sneak past them, but Grace will not need many consumables after this point, so it is often easier to use your remaining acid. Drop back down and return toward the red door leading to the Archives.
How to Open the Archives
There are two recesses beside the door. Insert the two orbs you collected:
Animus Orb;
Noblesse Orb.
The route into the Archives opens.Inside, you can find Access Log: First Assembly Minutes. If you are collecting every File, make sure to read it before interacting with the main terminal. Then approach the large console at the end of the Archives. After the scene, the game switches back to Leon.
ARK — Leon: Path to the Central Purification System
Leon's condition continues to deteriorate because of the infection. A blue haze periodically covers the screen and makes aiming more difficult. Continue through the facility until you reach a safe room with a laptop, Supply Box, and Med Injector. Restock before continuing.
How to Get the Override Key for Bioweapon Repository 11
Enter Bioweapon Repository 11 and examine the elevator panel. You need another Override Key to activate it. Continue into Bioweapon Repository 12. Several Lickers have already escaped their tanks. Unlike Grace, Leon can deal with them efficiently using conventional weapons. Use the rifle at range and the shotgun when they get close. After clearing the area, go down to the lower level. Find the control panel and activate it. Several tanks shift aside and reveal a new passage. Continue into the Generator Room and activate the second terminal. A route to the upper level opens. Climb to the Control Room and take the Override Key from the wall cabinet.
How to Activate the Elevator
Return to Bioweapon Repository 11. Even more Lickers will be roaming the area now. Use the red explosive canisters to quickly kill groups of enemies. Once the room is clear, insert the Override Key into the panel beside the elevator. The elevator begins moving toward Leon while more infected emerge from the tanks. You can freely spend your strongest ammunition now. The final boss is not far away. Use the shotgun, rifle, grenades, and explosive canisters around the room. Once the elevator arrives, get inside and ride up. Leon's condition deteriorates even further, after which control returns to Grace.
PANDORA Central Purification System — Finale
After the events in the Archives, two new Files are automatically added to your collection: Alyssa's Interview Notes and Letter from Patrick. They provide additional context for what happened, so it is worth reading them before the finale. Leave the Archives through the side door and pass through Spencer's Office.Search the room, then use the elevator. At the top, Grace finds Leon near the entrance to the PANDORA Central Purification System. After their conversation, both characters enter and confront Zeno.
Destroy or Release Elpis
During the scene, Grace reaches the Elpis control panel. The game gives you two choices:
Destroy Elpis;
Release Elpis.
Choosing Destroy Elpis causes the story to end almost immediately with the bad ending. Leon dies and the credits begin.
Choosing Release Elpis allows the story to continue. This route leads to the full ending and final boss.
How to Defeat Victor Gideon
After choosing Release Elpis, the story continues and Leon enters the final battle against Victor Gideon. During the first phase, Victor fights with his mutated arm and aggressively attacks at close range. Use the skills you learned during the Commander fight. Parry with the Hatchet or Mortal Edge, then counter with a few attacks.Do not stay next to the boss for too long. Whenever Victor creates distance, switch to firearms.
How to Survive Victor's Electrical Attacks
After taking enough damage, Victor mutates further and begins using electricity. Watch the floor. Before one attack, a glowing blue line appears and points toward Leon. Immediately move sideways.A section of the floor near Leon will then begin glowing. This means Victor is preparing to leap toward that position and unleash a powerful electrical attack. Run out of the highlighted area.Victor is briefly vulnerable after landing. Use the shotgun, rifle, or Requiem to deal a large burst of damage. Keep alternating between evasive movement and attacks.
How to Complete the Final Phase
Eventually, Victor loses most of his human appearance and turns into an enormous mass of bioweapon tissue. Large weak-point growths appear across his body. Shoot them directly. Once one is destroyed, it disappears and other weak points become exposed. Do not waste ammunition firing into the ordinary body mass while no vulnerable area is visible. Continue destroying the growths while avoiding the mutated boss's attacks. After dealing enough damage, the final sequence begins. Leon uses the Requiem to finish Victor Gideon for good. All that remains is to watch the final scenes and epilogue. This completes the main story of Resident Evil Requiem.
