Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Early Access Starts October 20

Infinity Ward has confirmed that the returning DMZ mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be available early to digital pre-order customers starting October 20. The full game launches on October 23 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.The schedule is:

• Campaign Early Access begins October 16 for eligible digital pre-orders.
• DMZ Early Access begins October 20.
• The full launch follows on October 23, including multiplayer and the rest of the release content.

The early-access bonus applies across the supported digital storefronts and platforms included in the pre-order program.DMZ's return is a notable move after the mode's complicated history in Modern Warfare II. Activision describes the new version as an expanded evolution of the extraction-shooter concept. This time, DMZ is built around the Hajin Exclusion Zone and includes Story Missions, Dynamic Operations, player-driven encounters, and persistent progression between deployments.
