EA has shown off Battlefield 6 Season 5 in a new gameplay trailer, taking the war to Las Vegas and Area 51. Three new maps are planned across the season, with Vegas Strip and Area 51 among the confirmed locations. Reworked versions of Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City are also scheduled separately for later in Season 5 rather than counting as two of the three new maps. The seasonal content also includes six new weapons, two vehicles, a new Operation, multiplayer leaderboards, Platoons, and a server browser planned as part of the wider Year 2 rollout. Platoons will give players a more persistent way to organize around their regular group instead of rebuilding the same squad from scratch every session.REDSEC is also getting Rapid Royale, a faster and more aggressive version of Battle Royale, along with Ranked Battle Royale and the returning competitive Open Series. The biggest surprise in the trailer comes at the end, where imagery unmistakably associated with Dead Space appears, including the Marker. EA has not fully detailed the crossover yet, but the tease points toward a limited-time Halloween event. Current reporting also points to a PvE-focused event built around a mysterious artifact, although EA has not yet revealed the full reward list or exact rules.Season 5 begins on October 13, although not every piece of content will arrive on the first day. The new Vegas and Area 51 battlefields are already drawing the most attention because of their very different layouts, with dense urban destruction on the Strip contrasting against large desert spaces, underground facilities, aircraft, and armored combat around Area 51.
