The door in the Circle of Greed in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse opens with three relics that you need to find and equip at the same time. Here's where to find each eye, how to reach Mammon, and how to pick up another valuable item.Don't try to slide through the golden cloud. Sliding won't protect you from it. Mammon is also immune to freezing and petrification, but bleeding and burning still work.

Where to Find the Circle of Greed Door
Head to the Catacombs of Paris. From Ferryman's Wharf, go through the Collapsed Path of Orpheus, the Realm of Old Night, and the Antechamber of Sin to reach the Circle of Greed. The door is hard to miss: it's a round barrier made of red flesh with closed eyes. Approach it to get a clue about The Miser Arcana card. You'll need three items to open it: the Thrilling Eye, Oozing Eye, and Trembling Eye. Each description mentions a "black relic awaiting reunion with its kin".Where to Find All Three Eyes
Thrilling Eye: Hospital in Paris Streets
First, unlock Smash after defeating Talos. You'll need it to reach the relics. Return to Paris Streets and find the Street of the Tomb Masons near the passage to Holy Innocents' Cemetery. Break through the floor with Smash and reach the red door leading into the Hospital.Inside, head down to the lower floor. Clear out the enemies and interact with the occult wheel altar to collect the eye. Then leave through the nearby passage. There's no need to climb all the way back through the Hospital.Trembling Eye: Pillaged Tombs
In Holy Innocents' Cemetery, find the Fountain of the Innocents. The entrance to the tombs is beneath the ruins. If the lower passage is blocked, head east, slide through the gap above the traps, and activate the hidden lever. Then return to the newly opened descent. In the tombs, first defeat the enemies in the locked room. Next, break the platform on the left with Smash and make your way through the traps. Don't linger in the section where an exploding ball chases you.Keep climbing through the corridor filled with saws, spikes, and beams. On the upper level, look for an alcove with a fleshy growth and interact with it. The relic is inside. A nearby lever opens a shortcut out.Oozing Eye: Circle of Greed
You can save the last eye for the end, since it's close to the door itself. In the Circle of Greed, head west past the fleshy barrier and through the blades into a large room containing the relic. Defeat the guards, climb onto the central platform, and interact with the red device. Once you have the eye, head back east to the door. How to Open the Door with Eyes
Open Equipment > Relics and equip all three eyes in the three available slots. Simply carrying them in your inventory isn't enough. Close the menu, approach the door, and press R1 on PlayStation or E on PC. The sockets will light up and the barrier will open. Before entering the arena, switch back to your usual combat relics. The eyes have already done their job.How to Beat Mammon
Mammon looks like a huge spiked wheel with an eye in the middle. You'll fight it in a gold-filled cave, with grapple rings hanging from the ceiling. They'll come in handy when the boss starts rolling across the floor. We wouldn't recommend chasing the wheel all around the arena. Wait for it to wind up an attack, get into a safe position, and strike during the opening. Leave the greed to the treasure's owner. One extra attack combo can easily cost you some health. Here's how to deal with its main attacks:- Ground charge. Jump over the wheel or use your whip to grab a ceiling ring. Attack once the charge ends.
- Cross-shaped beams. Move diagonally away from the boss's center, clear of the horizontal and vertical lines.
- Eight-way beams. Stand in the gap between two adjacent beams. Mammon pauses before firing, so use that moment to reposition.
- X-shaped beams. Stand below the boss's center, between the two lower diagonal beams.
- Bounces with falling rocks. Watch the shadows on the floor and keep moving away from the falling rocks.
- Hovering in place. This is a good chance to land a string of hits while the wheel spins in midair.
Mammon Rewards and What to Collect After the Fight
After winning, absorb The Miser Arcana card to get the Wheel of Chaos spell. It targets the nearest enemy and hovers in place for a few seconds. Then search the treasury and open the chest containing the Ferryman's Obol. Don't leave the coin among the gold. You need to give it to the Ferryman to receive another Arcana card with a spell that creates a trail of frost.Sign in to leave a comment or rate this post.
