How to find and use Supply Caches

A Supply Cache is more useful than a normal ammo box. It is a station where you can reorganize your loadout before the next fight. Pick up a new weapon, then use a Supply Cache to save your updated inventory and equipment setup. If you found a mod, open the equipment menu and install it. A useful upgrade sitting untouched in your inventory will not make life any harder for the Locust.We recommend checking accessible streets and buildings as you progress, then looking at the map again before leaving each district. Not every route opens immediately. Some areas only become available after a story conversation or main objective. If you lose track of the Campaign route, use our Gears of War: E-Day walkthrough to match the cache with the correct story stage.Important: Supply Caches, Hard Cases containing mods, and normal Campaign collectibles are separate categories. Do not combine them into one counter. Using the same Supply Cache again also does not turn it into a new location.

Act 2 - 11 confirmed Supply Caches

Most of this route is concentrated in Chapter 2. It is easier to move through the districts alongside the story than to try to sweep all of Kalona immediately. Start with the military muster point, then check the subway and canal streets. Later, the route brings you back toward the courthouse and hotel.

Supply Cache #1: Chapter 2 - military muster point

At the beginning of the chapter, use the first tutorial Supply Cache at the military muster point. This is where the game introduces the system. Open the menu and familiarize yourself with the loadout interface before leaving for the city district.

Supply Cache #2: Chapter 2 - subway exit

As you leave the platform, check the right side beside the large metal doors. The doors open after the conversation. If the route is still blocked, wait for the scene to finish, then return and inspect this side of the exit.

Supply Cache #3: Chapter 2 - canal stairs

Go through the garage and emerge near the canal. Climb the stairs. The Supply Cache is positioned along this exit route. Look specifically for the path that leads from the garage toward the water rather than checking every staircase in the surrounding block.

Supply Cache #4: Chapter 2 - Kalona Theatre

After leaving the subway, head toward the Kalona Theatre and check the area beside the building. The next Supply Cache is here. It is also a good opportunity to change your loadout if your current weapons are no longer working well for the encounters ahead.

Supply Cache #5: Chapter 2 - Major Burger near the loading area

Move through the alley from the loading area and enter the next Major Burger. The Supply Cache is inside. Do not confuse it with the first Major Burger location you encounter earlier in the city route.

Supply Cache #6: Chapter 2 - police station

Enter the police station across from the restaurant. The Supply Cache is inside the building. Simply checking the front of the station is not enough. Go inside and interact with the supply station itself.

Supply Cache #7: Chapter 2 - after the courthouse scene

Once the story scene near the courthouse ends, head down on the left. The Supply Cache is located in this area. Check this side of the plaza before following the squad onward.

Supply Cache #8: Chapter 2 - beneath the railway

When you reach the section beneath the railway line, take the stairs down. The Supply Cache is on the lower level. Use the route beneath the tracks as your landmark rather than the platform above.

Supply Cache #9: Chapter 2 - Kalona Hotel lobby

Enter the Kalona Hotel and check the lobby. The Supply Cache is in the main entrance area. Use it before continuing deeper into the building because you do not need to search every floor for this location.

Supply Cache #10: Chapter 3 - after the plaza with the golden statue

Continue along the story route through the plaza with the golden statue and scaffolding. The next Supply Cache is found after this section. Search the route beyond the scaffolding rather than returning to the base of the statue.

Supply Cache #11: Chapter 5 - final hangar

In the final hangar of the chapter, stay on the left side. The Supply Cache is located here. A collectible is nearby as well, but only the Supply Cache counts for this list.

Act 3 - five confirmed Supply Caches

This is not a complete Act 3 list. The locations below are confirmed, but they are not enough to close the full Act counter. The route begins around Fairlight, moves underground, and then returns to the city streets.

Supply Cache #12: Chapter 1 - Fairlight warehouse

At Fairlight, look for a warehouse on the left side of the route. The Supply Cache is beside the building. Another useful landmark is the nearby crates containing collectible grenade ammunition.

Supply Cache #13: Chapter 1 - substation

Enter the electrical substation and check the room with the large windows. Another Supply Cache is inside. Looking at the generators outside does not count as checking the whole area because the station itself is inside the building.

Supply Cache #14: Chapter 2 - upper level of the subway station

At the subway station, climb to the upper level. The Supply Cache stands in the central part of the area, with a Hard Case nearby. Interact with both separately because they are tracked as different Campaign categories.

Supply Cache #15: Chapter 2 - sewers

In the sewers, look for the Supply Cache near a Hard Case. Private First Class Erick Davis's COG Tags are also close by. This is a convenient stop for checking several different Campaign items at once instead of returning for each category separately.

Supply Cache #16: Chapter 3 - side street near the hospital

On the side street near the hospital, check the buildings on the left. The Supply Cache is located here. A Hard Case on the opposite side of the road can help you orient yourself, but it does not replace the Supply Cache itself.

Act 4 - eight confirmed Supply Caches

Supply Cache #17: Chapter 1 - Fort Vigil courtyard

In the Fort Vigil courtyard, check the ivy-covered wall near the memorial plaque. The Supply Cache is here. Stop to refill your ammunition before leaving the courtyard.

Supply Cache #18: Chapter 1 - Regalia Hotel balcony

Inside the Regalia Hotel, check the balcony. The Supply Cache is located there, so simply searching the entrance area is not enough. Another hotel appears elsewhere in the Campaign, so do not confuse the Regalia with the Kalona Hotel.

Supply Cache #19: Chapter 1 - Cooper Commons arcade

In Cooper Commons, check the arcade, the covered passage lined with arches. The Supply Cache is here. Use the architecture as your main landmark so you do not waste time searching every nearby interior.

Supply Cache #20: Chapter 1 - cafe

Near the cafe, look for a window covered by a metal grille. It serves as the landmark for this Supply Cache. Before continuing through the district, use the station and check any equipment changes you want to make.

Supply Cache #21: Chapter 2 - subway entrance

At the subway entrance, inspect the area with the benches and vending machines. The Supply Cache is located here. This is a separate stop from the next cache you encounter later in the same chapter.

Supply Cache #22: Chapter 2 - station exit

Climb the subway stairs. The Supply Cache stands on the compass mosaic beneath the exit shutter. Check the upper landing even if you already used the station near the entrance.

Supply Cache #23: Chapter 3 - power plant

At the power plant, find the base of the metal staircase. The Supply Cache is here. Once you spot the stairs, inspect the lower platform before continuing upward.

Supply Cache #24: Chapter 5 - Seradyne administrative building

Enter through the glass doors beside the dark van. Walk past the desks toward the tall blue cabinet beside the wooden wall. Interacting with it opens the Supply Cache menu.

Act 5 - two confirmed Supply Caches

The two locations below are confirmed for Act 5, but this is not a complete Act route. The descriptions only use environmental landmarks and avoid recapping the final story events.

Supply Cache #25: Chapter 4 - elevator room

On the Resolute, check the interior room with the elevator. A Supply Cache is located here. Use it before continuing along the ship.

Supply Cache #26: Chapter 5 - bridge colonnade

On the bridge, inspect the colonnade. The next confirmed Supply Cache is located here. Open the menu and refill your ammunition before leaving the area.

Why finding every Supply Cache does not automatically unlock Quartermaster

Gears of War: E-Day has a separate Campaign achievement called Quartermaster. Its official requirement is: Unlock all Supply Cache items in the Campaign. The wording is about unlocking the items available through Supply Caches, so it would be misleading to promise the achievement simply for visiting all 36 cache locations.We recommend tracking not only the Supply Caches you have discovered but also the gear that becomes available through them. That way, exploring Kalona improves your loadout during the Campaign rather than becoming a pure checklist at the end.

What to do if you missed a Supply Cache

Start by checking the War Journal and identify which Act still has missing progress. Then use chapter replay to return to the relevant part of the Campaign and look for the landmark you recognize from the list above. We recommend checking available points before every major transition. Spending two extra minutes with the map is usually much more pleasant than replaying an entire district later.
