Love, Ghosts & Robots is the flagship event of Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.6. Instead of saving a planet, fighting an Aeon, or chasing down another cosmic plague, the Trailblazer is suddenly asked to help Skott run a mechatron workshop. Of course, things don't stay peaceful for long. Rakshmi soon appears, the IPC schedules five assessment cycles, and Skott faces the deeply questionable prospect of marriage unless he can defend himself with sufficiently impressive production numbers.In this guide, we'll explain how to unlock the event, build mechatrons, place chips correctly on the motherboard, use expert assistance, increase the workshop's star rating, and claim all the main rewards.
How to Start the Love, Ghosts & Robots Event
The event is available in Version 4.6 from September 28 to November 11, 2026. Once the limited-time period ends, it will move to Conventional Memoir, so the story and core gameplay won't disappear. Some limited-time rewards, however, are worth claiming while they're still available instead of waiting until they suddenly pretend they never knew you.Image unavailableNormal access requires at least Trailblaze Level 21. From a story perspective, it's better to play the event after Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise, since it is tied to the Life Sciences Institute. If you want to start earlier, you can use Finality's Vision.After beginning the introductory quest, head to Skott's workshop. The former IPC employee has somehow turned a decommissioned production line into a facility for creating Lyndon™ EmbodiMechs, machines capable of giving ghosts physical bodies. The idea already sounds like the beginning of a terrible internal audit, and then Rakshmi arrives demanding proof that the workshop can actually function.
How the Event Works
The basic gameplay loop is fairly simple:
accept a mechatron order;
check which attributes the client requires;
install chips on the motherboard;
fill the board as efficiently as possible to increase Integration;
use expert assistance when necessary;
customize the finished mechatron's appearance;
earn revenue and develop the workshop.
Image unavailableAs you progress, you'll unlock new production options and four expert helpers. Rakshmi will also conduct official IPC assessments several times. There are five assessment cycles in total, and successfully passing each one increases the workshop's star rating.
How to Place Chips on the Motherboard
Before assembling anything, check the client's requirements carefully. Each chip increases one or more mechatron attributes, so there is little point in filling the board with impressive-looking parts if the stat the client actually wants is still sitting somewhere around almost good enough.Chips come in different shapes. You need to arrange them on the limited motherboard grid while covering as many cells as possible. The more efficiently the board is filled, the higher its Integration and the better your final revenue.Image unavailableThe first few orders are simple enough to complete by eye. Later, space becomes tighter, chip shapes become more awkward, and clients suddenly remember that they actually asked for specific attributes. That's when you'll need to awaken your inner Tetris player.A few simple rules help:
place the largest and most awkwardly shaped chips first;
save smaller pieces for filling gaps near the end;
don't overfocus on one attribute if the order requires several;
if one placement improves a required stat while covering more empty cells, it's almost always the better option;
check the final attributes before confirming the build. Rearranging the board is easier than staring at a mechatron in the almost what you asked for class afterward.
What Is Integration?
Integration shows how efficiently you've used the motherboard. The less empty space you leave and the better your components fit together, the higher the value.Image unavailableDuring the early stages, simply meeting the order requirements is usually enough. Later, strong Integration becomes important for both revenue and high ratings. Dropping a few powerful chips into one corner and leaving half the board empty remains a viable strategy right up until the first serious assessment.
How to Get Two S-Rank Attributes
The event includes the Big Cup achievement. To unlock it, raise two mechatron attributes to S rank at the same time for the first time.It's easier to do this after you've unlocked more chips and upgraded your experts rather than on the very first order. Pick two attributes that are already well supported by the components you have and build the motherboard around them.You don't need to push every stat to S rank. We're building a mechatron here, not graduating with honors. As long as two attributes display S rank simultaneously before you finish the order, the requirement is complete.
How Experts Work
As the workshop develops, four helpers will join the Trailblazer. Each provides a different production bonus.Image unavailableSome abilities directly increase Integration. Others make chip placement easier, allow components to overlap, or improve specific mechatron attributes.Expert abilities are upgraded using Ghost Coins, the event currency. Don't hoard them just to admire the number in your inventory. If you're stuck on a difficult order or assessment, check the available expert upgrades first. Sometimes a single skill level solves the problem faster than twenty minutes of moving the same L-shaped chip from one corner to another.
How to Pass IPC Assessments
Rakshmi conducts five star-rating promotion assessments in total. These are the event's main progression milestones. Passing each one raises the workshop level and unlocks further development.Before starting an assessment, don't immediately press the button. First:
complete any regular orders currently available;
spend your accumulated Ghost Coins on useful upgrades;
check any newly unlocked chips;
see which expert best matches the assessment requirements.
Passing the star-rating promotion assessment for the second time unlocks the Triumphant Return achievement. Completing every assessment awards Love Is the Pulse of the Stars.Image unavailableIf you fail an assessment by only a few points, the problem is probably not that the game hates you, even if it sometimes feels that way. Rebuild the motherboard around the required attributes and Integration, then try a different expert.
How to Customize Mechatron Appearance
After the main assembly is complete, you can customize the finished robot. The game lets you change its body color, certain appearance elements, and its pose for the final display.For most orders, appearance matters much less than performance, so finish the motherboard first and play cosmic designer afterward. Change the exhibition mechatron at least once to unlock the Pocket Warrior achievement.
How to Develop the Workshop Faster
The best approach is straightforward: don't focus exclusively on story assessments. Regular orders provide resources and increase your Mechatron Design Level, so complete everything available between promotion checks.Image unavailableIf you have to choose where to spend event currency, early upgrades are generally better when they improve tools and experts that can help across several different orders. More specialized bonuses can be picked up later.And always pay attention to the client's requirements. It's extremely easy in this event to build a beautiful, expensive, completely useless machine and then wonder why the customer isn't giving you a standing ovation.
All Event Achievements
Love, Ghosts & Robots is directly tied to four achievements:
Triumphant Return - complete the star-rating promotion assessment for the second time;
Big Cup - raise two mechatron attributes to S rank simultaneously for the first time;
Love Is the Pulse of the Stars - complete every star-rating promotion assessment;
Pocket Warrior - change the exhibition mechatron once.
Each achievement rewards 5 Stellar Jades.
All Event Rewards
The event's limited-time objectives award up to 1,000 Stellar Jades in total, along with a Self-Modeling Resin, Tracks of Destiny, Credits, and development materials.Once the event moves to Conventional Memoir, the permanent rewards will remain available, including another 200 Stellar Jades, a Track of Destiny, and the Trailblaze Fashion headwear Lone Wolf Shades.That makes the limited-time portion worth completing while it's available. Even if the story of Skott, Rakshmi, and an interstellar ghost-robot factory sounds like something a writer came up with after three energy drinks and no sleep, at least the rewards are generous.
