Pearl is a 5-star Ice character who follows the Path of Elation in Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 and fills several roles at once. She heals allies, reduces incoming damage, removes debuffs, and helps a key teammate act more often. In Elation teams, she also strengthens the Path's core mechanics. There is no need to build Pearl like a conventional damage dealer, though: most of her useful effects scale with DEF, SPD, and Energy Regeneration Rate.In this guide, we'll explain which Relics and Light Cones work best on Pearl, which stats to prioritize, who to pair her with, and how useful her Eidolons are.

How Pearl Works

Pearl's main resource is Certified Banger. She builds it through her abilities and converts it into Repellency. When an ally takes damage, part of that resource is consumed to block a significant portion of the incoming hit. In simple terms, it is not quite a conventional Shield, but it works in a similar way: the team takes less damage before you even need to start actively healing.
Her Skill restores HP for the entire team and provides additional healing to the character with the lowest current HP percentage. Her Enhanced Basic ATKs also restore HP, so once Pearl's main rotation is running, she does not need to keep spending Skill Points every turn.The most important button in her kit is the Ultimate. It designates one ally as the Aesthetic Archetype and applies Deep Learning. Pearl then gains access to Enhanced Basic ATKs, while the Ultimate's target receives Action Advance. The more Elation characters there are in the team, the stronger the effect becomes. In a full Elation team, the selected ally receives an extra turn.This means Pearl can still work in a mixed team, but most of her potential is unlocked when the other slots are also filled by Elation characters.

Which Stats Does Pearl Need?

Prioritize DEF and SPD first. DEF affects her healing and several parts of her own kit, while SPD lets her take more turns, restore resources more often, and keep the team supported.
For an endgame build, you can roughly aim for:
  • DEF — around 3,500–4,500;
  • SPD — 160 or higher, with 170–180 being a reasonable long-term target for a well-built version;
  • Effect RES — around 50% if you can reach it without sacrificing too much of your main stats.
Do not sacrifice all of your SPD just to reach a prettier DEF number. One of Pearl's Traces already becomes noticeably useful after 2,400 DEF, while further investment gradually improves her Elation and healing. In an actual fight, getting an extra Pearl turn is often more valuable than squeezing out a few more percent of DEF.
Recommended main stats:
  • Body — Outgoing Healing Boost or DEF%;
  • Feet — SPD;
  • Planar Sphere — DEF%;
  • Link Rope — Energy Regeneration Rate.
For substats, look for SPD and DEF%. Pearl's own CRIT stats are not a priority. Part of her additional damage uses the offensive stats of the ally designated as the Aesthetic Archetype, so there is little reason to turn your sustain into a full CRIT damage dealer.

Best Relics for Pearl

Dreamlit Actor

The best dedicated set introduced in Version 4.6. The 2-piece bonus increases SPD by 6%. The full set increases an ally's Elation after Pearl uses a Skill or Ultimate on them, and with enough Certified Banger it also increases the team's CRIT DMG.
The set works naturally with Pearl because she regularly uses abilities on allies and constantly interacts with Certified Banger. If you are farming it from scratch, prioritize the actual stats on each piece. Poor Relics worn only for the 4-piece bonus can still lose to a strong temporary mixed set.

Diviner of Distant Reach

A solid alternative if you already have a good set. It also provides SPD and can increase allies' Elation. However, some of its bonuses are not especially important for Pearl herself, so there is usually little reason to farm it specifically instead of Dreamlit Actor.

Warrior Goddess of Sun and Thunder

Another option for a temporary build. The set helps increase SPD and provides teamwide CRIT DMG. It is especially convenient if you already have strong pieces available while you are still farming Pearl's dedicated Version 4.6 set.

Best Planar Ornaments

Sprightly Vonwacq is one of the most convenient options. It provides Energy Regeneration Rate and, with enough SPD, advances Pearl's action at the start of battle. This helps her begin the rotation faster and reach the first Ultimate sooner.
Broken Keel works well in teams that benefit from extra CRIT DMG. Pearl already gets some Effect RES from her Traces, so meeting the set requirement is relatively easy.Lushaka, the Sunken Seas also provides Energy Regeneration Rate. Its additional bonus is useful in teams where the character in the first team slot scales meaningfully with ATK. Make sure your party order is correct, otherwise half of the set's value is wasted.

Best Light Cones for Pearl

Colors for Tomorrow

Pearl's signature 5-star Light Cone and the most straightforward option for her. It significantly increases DEF, helps with Energy, improves healing, and increases the damage enemies take after the relevant mechanic is triggered.Her signature is strong, but Pearl does not fall apart without it. If your resources are limited, it makes more sense to secure Pearl herself and build a complete team around her first.

When She Decided to See

Yao Guang's signature Light Cone also works extremely well on Pearl. It provides SPD, helps with Energy Regeneration, and improves the team's CRIT stats. In some builds, the extra SPD is so convenient that the gap between it and Pearl's own signature becomes fairly small.
The obvious drawback is simple: if Yao Guang is in the same team and already using this Light Cone, she cannot share it with Pearl.

Until the Flowers Bloom Again

Evanescia's Light Cone can be used as another 5-star alternative. It helps with Energy and can increase the damage enemies receive. There is little reason to pull it specifically instead of Pearl's signature, but if you already own a copy, it works perfectly well.

Mushy Shroomy's Adventures

A good 4-star option and one of the more accessible Light Cones for the Path of Elation. It increases the wearer's Elation, and after the wearer uses an Elation Skill, it increases the Elation DMG enemies receive. Pearl fulfills the condition naturally, so you do not need to build a separate rotation around the Light Cone.

Best Teams With Pearl

Pearl performs best in a team where the other characters also follow the Path of Elation. The reason is simple: the number of Elation allies directly affects several of her effects, and the full extra turn from her Ultimate only becomes available in the appropriate team setup.One of the most comfortable options is:
  • Silver Wolf LV.999;
  • Yao Guang;
  • Sparxie;
  • Pearl.
Silver Wolf LV.999 makes excellent use of the additional resources and Action Advance, Yao Guang strengthens the team's Elation mechanics, and Pearl fully covers survivability.
Another option is built around Evanescia:
  • Evanescia;
  • Yao Guang;
  • Sparxie or Trailblazer (Elation);
  • Pearl.
Evanescia interacts well with Certified Banger, so the extra resources Pearl provides directly support her own rotation. If you are missing one of the limited supports, the free Trailblazer (Elation) remains a perfectly reasonable replacement.Pearl can also be used alongside Aventurine • Waveflair and other Elation characters. The important thing is not to treat these examples as four mandatory portraits. Look at which character in your team benefits most from an extra turn and who is the best Aesthetic Archetype target at any given moment.

How to Play Pearl

Before a difficult fight, use Pearl's Technique. It designates the active character as the Aesthetic Archetype in advance, and once combat begins, Pearl starts with additional Certified Banger and applies Deep Learning.From there, the job is fairly straightforward: maintain your resource supply, heal the team with her Skill when it is actually necessary, and use the Ultimate at the right time. You do not always need to give the Ultimate to the same damage dealer. An extra turn is an extremely powerful tool, so sometimes it is better to advance a character who can immediately restore Energy, trigger a team mechanic, or end a dangerous boss phase.
After gaining Deep Learning, use Pearl's Enhanced Basic ATKs. They allow her to heal the team, recover a Skill Point, and continue the rotation without constantly spending SP.

Which Traces Should You Level First?

Prioritize the abilities tied to Elation and her Ultimate first, since these define Pearl's main value in a dedicated team. After that, level her Enhanced Basic ATKs and regular Skill, which affect her healing.Her normal Basic ATK can be left for later. Pearl is not a character you build around a single unenhanced basic hit.

Best Pearl Eidolons

  • E1 is especially strong in a full Elation team. It noticeably increases allies' Elation and also provides protection against lethal damage.
  • E2 accelerates the team's rotation even further: the Ultimate begins advancing other Elation allies, while the amount of temporary resources available during the extra turn increases.
  • E4 increases the Elation DMG multiplier of Pearl's Elation Skill. It is useful, but the earlier Eidolons are generally more attractive in terms of value for the investment.
  • E6 grants the entire team All-Type RES PEN during Deep Learning and significantly strengthens Pearl's own Enhanced Basic ATK.

Is Pearl Worth Pulling?

If you actively play Elation teams, Pearl fills exactly the role those compositions were missing: a dedicated sustain who remains fully integrated into the Path's core mechanics. She keeps the team alive while accelerating key allies, so you do not have to sacrifice team synergy just to bring a conventional healer.She can still heal and reduce incoming damage in mixed teams, but part of her kit will go unused. Before spending Stellar Jade, look at your entire Elation roster rather than evaluating Pearl in isolation.
