There are seven Resource Containers hidden throughout Silent Hill: Townfall, but simply finding the lockboxes isn't enough. Each one requires a separate Lockbox Key, and most of them are easy to miss during a normal playthrough. The good news is that you don't have to open all seven containers in a single run, as your progress carries over between playthroughs. The keys and containers also appear only during Simon's sections, so there's no need to search for them while playing as Zoe or Richard. In this guide, we'll show you where to find all seven Lockbox Keys and their corresponding Resource Containers to unlock the Resourceful achievement.
You can collect the first key and container almost at the very beginning of the game, so it's best to get them out of the way immediately.
Where to Find Lockbox Key #1
Head to Shorefront District – South and go north of St. Amelia Park. You'll find Jess's House here. Go inside and search the kitchen. The key is inside one of the drawers.Image unavailable
Where to Find Resource Container #1
After getting the key, leave the house and enter the apartment building across the street. You need Apartment 0/1 on the ground floor, immediately to the right after entering. Go into the living room and check the table. The first Resource Container is sitting on it. Use the Lockbox Key and collect the contents.
Part 2: Zoe
The next pair is found in the altered northern section of the Shorefront District. Despite the name of the Part, you need to collect these items during Simon's section.
Where to Find Lockbox Key #2
Continue through the apartment building until you reach a window leading onto the scaffolding. Cross it to the next part of the building, then enter Apartment 1/1 on the second floor. The key is lying on the bed.
Where to Find Resource Container #2
You don't have to go far. Stay in the same apartment building and continue upward. On the fourth floor, find the small landing with the container on a table. If you already picked up the key from Apartment 1/1, you can open it immediately.Image unavailable
Part 3: The Patient
The third pair is located in Medical Center – Different. The key is easy to walk past if you simply follow the main objective, so we recommend picking it up before continuing the story.
Where to Find Lockbox Key #3
During Simon's section, enter Ward W in the southwestern part of the Medical Center and head downstairs. Find Room 11. There is a key cabinet inside containing the third Lockbox Key.
Where to Find Resource Container #3
The container is in Ward S, but you won't be able to reach it until a little later. First, head downstairs and collect the blood bags required for the main objective. Then return upstairs. Part 4: Clara Woods
Clara Woods contains two pairs of Lockbox Keys and Resource Containers. This makes it one of the most important Parts for the Resourceful achievement, so it's worth collecting both before progressing further.
Where to Find Lockbox Key #4
Once you reach Clara Woods Estate, make your way along Atlas Way and enter the Post Service store. Check the cash register near the front of the building. The fourth Lockbox Key is inside.
Where to Find Resource Container #4
Now head toward Atlas Square. Find the apartment building northeast of the square. You can enter it from the ground floor. Go to the back of the building and enter the kitchen. The fourth Resource Container is on the counter.Image unavailable
Where to Find Lockbox Key #5
For the next key, return to the Post Service store after obtaining the Bolt Cutters. Go inside and leave through the rear emergency exit. You'll reach an alley with a locked gate. Use the Bolt Cutters and continue through.There is a laundromat on the left. Go inside and check the top of the washing machines. The fifth Lockbox Key is there.
Where to Find Resource Container #5
Now head to the CEG Lockers building. Enter the back office and look for the table inside. The fifth Resource Container is here. Part 6: Simon
The final two pairs are found near the end of the game in SWDP – Different. You'll need to use the remote control system here, so some rooms won't be accessible until you've solved the local puzzles.
Where to Find Lockbox Key #6
After completing the FIX THIS puzzle, you'll reach the large main area of SWDP – Different. From the main floor, go up the stairs on the south side and enter the room to the west. Check the counter inside to find the sixth Lockbox Key.

Continue through the area until you obtain the access card and unlock the Control Room. Inside, find the surveillance control panel. The sixth Resource Container is immediately beside it.Image unavailable
Where to Find Lockbox Key #7
The final key is on the lower floor of SWDP – Different. Head downstairs and make your way to the northwestern corner of the complex. Use the remote control system to open Room 047. The seventh and final Lockbox Key is on the counter inside.
Where to Find Resource Container #7
After getting the key, use the remote control system again and open Room 621. Head downstairs and enter the long eastern room with the valves. The room is opposite the area containing Valve F. The final Resource Container is sitting on a table.Once you open it, the game will register the seventh container. Do You Need to Open All Resource Containers in One Playthrough?
You do not need to open all seven Resource Containers in a single run to unlock the achievement. If you miss a key or container, you can collect it during your next playthrough. Containers you have already opened do not need to be opened again.Also remember that these Lockbox Keys and Resource Containers do not appear during Zoe's or Richard's sections. If you've spent a long time exploring their chapters without finding anything, that's normal. The required collectibles are only available during Simon's segments.
