Material Crates are one of the three main collectible types in Marvel's Wolverine. There are 68 of them hidden throughout the game. Each crate contains 50 Materials, which are used to craft additional suits. Crafting new outfits also increases Logan's maximum Health.You only need the contents of 63 crates to craft every available standard suit. If your only goal is to increase Logan's maximum Health to 200%, 33 crates are enough. You'll need to find all 68 only if you want the Crate Collector trophy. In this guide, we'll cover every Material Crate location in order and go through all the missions that contain these collectibles.
What to Do If You Miss a Crate
You don't need to restart the game because of a missed crate. Once mission replay becomes available, go to the bed in the Nightmare Cabin and replay the mission you need. All previously collected items remain registered, so you only have to pick up whatever you missed.There are no collectibles in the first three missions, Back in Action, A Debt Repaid, and Last Meal, so you don't need to search for anything there.
Canada - Homecoming

Crate 1
The first crate is tied to the main objective, so you can't miss it. When Walter asks Logan to get some Materials, enter the room directly behind him. The crate is inside.
Crate 2
You'll look for the next crate after leaving the lab. Reach the living area where Sabretooth's room is located, go through his room into the bathroom, and immediately turn toward the linen closet on the left after passing through the doorway. The Materials are hidden inside.
The One That Got Away
Crate 3
Use the zipline and defeat the two enemies in the sawmill area. After the fight, explore the location and look for a wooden barrier marked with yellow paint. Break it with Logan's claws. Behind it are stacks of lumber and several ordinary wooden boxes. Destroy them to reveal the crate.
Crate 4
A little later, Logan will reach the roof of a partially destroyed warehouse. Drop as far down into the building as possible, into the collapsed basement section. An Audio Log is nearby. Next to it, look for a large pipe with a warning sign indicating that only Jean is allowed inside. Crawl into the pipe and follow it to the opposite end. The Materials are there.
Crate 5
When the trail leads Logan to the river, don't cross to the opposite bank. Turn right instead and continue along the path. Soon you'll need to squeeze beneath several fallen trees lying across the route. Logan will automatically duck. Beyond them is a small open area. Crate 6
Once you reach the docks, head to the far side of the shipping-container yard. A large gray crane is a useful landmark. A cable is attached near the front support on the left side. Use it to climb up, then make your way across to the opposite side of the structure.
Raise Some Hell

Almost immediately after the mission begins, you'll reach an area with three snipers. Drop to the lower level and carefully check the left side of the area. The first crate in this mission is here.
Crate 8
Don't leave the same area yet. Find the stream and follow it upstream. Go all the way to the end to find another Material Crate.
Crate 9
After Logan smashes through the yellow double doors, you'll enter the yard of the treatment facility. Turn left immediately. Near the fence beside the white building, you can find an Experience Shrine. The crate is slightly to the right, in front of the large white tank.Image unavailable
Crate 10
After passing through the refinery building, you'll emerge into an area filled with shipping containers. Look at the truck ahead and check its cargo bed. The crate is inside.
Strays
Crate 11
While searching for Leech's drawings, leave the laboratory and follow the corridor toward the armory. The crate is sitting almost directly beside the entrance.
Something Much Stronger
Crate 12
After sliding down the snowy slope, Logan will land in a stream. Follow the water forward, then turn right toward the small island. Use the dead tree trunk to climb higher. Turn right again and check the small cave. The crate is hidden inside.Image unavailable
Crate 13
After freeing the wolf from the vines, head down to the lake and follow the animal to the left. Eventually, the route leads to a fallen tree that can be used to reach a cliff. Don't climb it yet. Look to the left first. There is a small snow-covered island in the middle of the river, with the crate beside a tree stump.
Crate 14
The route will split farther ahead. At the fork, take the right path first and head toward the fishing hut. The Materials are beside the building.
Crate 15
The final Canadian crate can be found near Logan's old cabin. When you reach it, look to the right.
Madripoor - Knock Knock
The second major section contains nine Material Crates.
Crate 16
After destroying the vehicle equipped with a laser turret, Logan will enter the power station lobby. Check behind the reception desk. The crate is there.
Crate 17
When you reach the server room, defeat the enemies and climb one level higher. You'll see a ventilation grate ahead. Cut through it and enter the adjacent room. The crate is in the far-right corner.
Mutant Detected

Right after the mission begins, find the reception desk with the Trask Industries logo. Walk around it. The crate is hidden behind the desk.Image unavailable
Crate 19
Keep following Mystique. When she unlocks another door, enter the newly opened room and immediately turn right. The next crate is there.
Crate 20
After finishing your search of Sector 7, wait for Mystique to open the way forward. Follow the yellow line on the floor until you reach a fork. Take the left path and approach the door with the keypad. Enter 0291. Once the door opens, collect the Materials inside.
Crate 21
After completing the section in the engine tunnel, continue forward past the burning wreckage. The crate will be on the left side of the route.
One Last Mission
Crate 22
At the very beginning of the mission, check the room behind the bar. Go inside and head toward the far-right corner. The first crate in the mission is there.
Crate 23
While following Jean's trail, you'll reach a staircase. Don't go up. There is another flight of stairs on the left leading downward. Take it. The crate is right at the bottom.Image unavailable
Crate 24
After the fight where Logan pulls a sword out of his own body and turns it against an enemy, the trail will lead him toward a brick warehouse. Don't enter it yet.Instead, head toward the building by the water near the site of the previous fight. A narrow walkway runs along its right wall toward the shoreline. Follow it all the way to the end to find the last crate in this section.
Japan - Get Angry
Japan contains the largest number of Material Crates, with 29 to collect.
Crate 25
While searching for the three arcades, don't stick only to the main route. Check the nearby side streets as well. Near one of the arcades to the right of the main road is an alley. Enter it and follow it to the dead end. The crate is hidden at the back.
Crate 26
At one point in the story, Logan will use an elevator to descend into the rooms beneath the bar. As soon as the doors open, don't head forward down the corridor. Turn right first. The crate is there.
Crate 27
After destroying the first three incense burners, use the newly opened exit from the room. Almost immediately afterward, you'll see a short side corridor on the right. Enter it and destroy the wooden boxes blocking the way. Another crate is hidden behind them.Image unavailable
Crate 28
After the cave section, continue forward using several bars in succession. Logan will eventually land on a metal structure. Don't keep moving immediately. Turn around and check the area behind him. The crate is on the platform.
Crate 29
Later in the story, you'll ride another elevator and arrive at a warehouse. Exit the elevator and, instead of following the main route, enter the room on the left before Walter's cell. The crate is inside.
Bad Blood

After climbing up with the cable, Logan will use a zipline and land on the roof of the neighboring building. Check the area ahead. Several wooden boxes block the crate. Smash them with Logan's claws and collect the Materials.
Crate 31
After meeting Jean near Shiro's building, begin climbing the scaffolding. Continue straight upward without taking any side routes. The crate is on one of the upper levels.
Crate 32
Inside the next building, Jean will head left, which is also where the main route continues. Don't follow her immediately. Destroy the blue statue, break the grate behind it, and drop down one level. The next crate is here.Image unavailable
Crate 33
Continue until Jean moves a platform and clears the way forward. Don't climb onto it. Turn around instead and jump to the neighboring building. Find the doorway on the right and go inside. The last crate in the mission is in this room.
In the Shadows

At the beginning of the mission, Logan will enter an arcade. Don't move deeper into the building after entering. Turn around and find the stairs leading down. The first crate in the mission is on the lower floor.
Crate 35
One of the mission objectives requires you to destroy several mutant detectors on the rooftops. Reach the third device and stand in front of it. Instead of continuing along the story route, turn left and cross to the neighboring rooftop. You can collect the Materials there.
Crate 36
Return to the area around the third detector and climb to the roof one level above. Find the ramp Logan can use to jump to the neighboring building. After landing, check the right side of the roof. The crate is in the corner.
Crate 37
You don't need to go far from the previous location. Stay on the same rooftop and find the large pipe you can use to climb higher. Then use the cable. It takes Logan to the next area with a detector. The crate is on the right near the device.Image unavailable
Crate 38
After riding in the noodle van, Logan will arrive at a construction site. As soon as you regain control, move left and go around the nearest structure. Another Material Crate is near the excavator.
Crate 39
After speaking with the Chosen, a hidden passage becomes available. Enter it and follow the new corridor. At the first fork, turn left. The crate is in this branch.
Crate 40
After another fight, Logan will emerge onto a rooftop. There is a cable ahead leading to the neighboring building. Start sliding across it, but don't go all the way to the other end. Roughly halfway across, let go and land on the platform below. Turn left and collect the final crate in the mission.
Death Comes to Death

The first crate is available almost immediately. Before the first mandatory rooftop jump, don't head forward. Turn left instead. The crate is nearby.
Crate 42
After watching the security footage, Logan will enter a maintenance area filled with pipes. Turn right as soon as you enter. Find the large pipe Logan can crawl beneath and squeeze through to the other side. The Materials are there.Image unavailable
Crate 43
Continue following the trail until you reach an elevator. Don't enter it. Stand in front of the elevator and turn right. The final crate in this mission is beside the wall.
We Were Wrong

At the start of the mission, follow the tracks on the ground. They lead to an Alchemax truck. Walk around to the back of the vehicle to find the crate hidden behind it.
Crate 45
Later, you'll enter a room with models of planets hanging from the ceiling. Defeat all the enemies first, then climb to the upper level. You need the same floor the archers were attacking from during the fight. The next crate is there.
Crate 46
After another fight, you'll find an overturned vehicle lying in the road. Go around it on the left and continue along the road until it ends. At the end of the route, look to the right. The crate is near the edge of the area.Image unavailable
Crate 47
Continue following the tracks. After the next fight, you'll see a hole in the wall that you need to pass through. As soon as you reach the other side, turn left. The crate is behind the truck parked there.
Crate 48
After the large warehouse fight, open the gate and use the stairs to reach the lower floor. Turn left immediately at the bottom. The crate is nearby.
Hell Followed With Him

At the start of the mission, follow Jean. She will stop near a weapon rack. From there, turn left and go around the nearest corner. The first crate in the mission is there.
Crate 50
Don't leave the starting area yet. Head to the far-right side and find the stairs leading to the training area. Go upstairs, then check the left corner. The crate is beside the wall.
Crate 51
Later, Logan will enter a forest area filled with enemies. As you make your way uphill through this section, stay close to the right side. You'll spot the Material Crate along the way.Image unavailable

Continue through the story until you reach the large shrine doors. Open them and enter. Turn left immediately after going inside. The final crate in the mission is here.
Sinister Tidings

At one point in the story, Logan will enter a bathroom where you can interact with the sink. Doing so opens access to a hidden room. Climb up into it and search the area. The mission's only Material Crate is inside.
Madripoor Revisited - Way Down Low
The final major section contains another 15 Material Crates.
Crate 54
Reach the first checkpoint where enemies are holding civilians inside a truck. Defeat the enemies and free the prisoners. After releasing them, climb into the truck bed. The first crate in the mission is inside.
Crate 55
At the next checkpoint, you'll find another truck containing captured civilians. Clear the area and free them. Before moving on, check the back of the truck. The second crate is inside.Image unavailable
Crate 56
After leaving the previous checkpoint, don't immediately continue along the main route. Backtrack slightly and take the road on the right. Follow it all the way to the end. You'll find another truck there with the crate inside.
Crate 57
Continue through the mission until you reach the radio tower. Stop beside it and look to the right. You'll see satellite dishes on the neighboring rooftop. Cross over to that building and collect the final crate in the mission.
Roll The Dice

After the fight in the casino's service area, continue until you reach the elevator. Don't enter it because riding it will advance the story. Turn right first. The mission's only crate is there.
Field Test

After freeing the civilians, continue down the street toward the theater. When you reach the gray car, look for a red scooter nearby. There is an alley to its left. Turn into it to find the crate.
Crate 60
After the next fight, you'll need to destroy a vehicle equipped with a turret. Continue forward afterward until you encounter a Sentinel. There are market stalls on the left side of this area. The crate is beside them.Image unavailable
I'm Still Here
Crate 61
After defeating the large purple Sentinel, Logan will remove an obstacle and open the route forward. Almost immediately afterward, the path splits. Take the right route first and follow it to the end. Enter the building there. The crate is inside.
Crate 62
Return to the previous fork and this time take the left path, which is also the main story route. After encountering several Sentinels, watch the right side of the road carefully. An optional passage appears there. Turn into it and collect the Materials. If you've already reached the noodle shop, you've gone too far.
Crate 63
When you reach the noodle shop, don't immediately enter through the ground-floor door. Turn around and look for a way to reach the upper level. Climb into the room upstairs. Another crate is inside.
Crate 64
After leaving the noodle shop, you'll reach a large area filled with Sentinels. Defeat them first, then head down toward the ruined building below and search the interior. The crate is hidden inside.
Crate 65
Continue through the mission until the scene where Logan spots Jean in the distance. Afterward, drop to the lower level. Two Reavers will appear ahead near a vehicle. The crate is beside the car.Image unavailable
This Was The Dream
Crate 66
As part of the story, Logan will need to ride the bell upward. After reaching the top, wait for Jean to kill the two enemies, then move through the next doorway. Turn right immediately after passing through it. The first crate in the mission is nearby.
Crate 67
After the sequence with Essex in the bar, Logan will be transported to another area. Continue forward until you reach a window that can be broken. Smash through the glass and drop one level lower. Turn left after landing. The second-to-last Material Crate in the game is here.
Crate 68
After the next sequence with Essex, the action moves to the Team X hideout. As soon as you regain control, don't follow the story route forward. Instead, find the stairs on the left and climb to the upper floor. The 68th and final Material Crate is there.
